OPEN LETTER TO MR. VOHRA & AN Team

Thank you so much for highlighting various issues around the nursery admission guidelines.
 
Specific to Transfer Cases, i would like to let you know that we (about a dozen parents) met with the Director DOE today, and in the LG office yesterday. At both places, our Point of View on the Transfer Cases being completely unjustified and discriminatory has been fully understood, and appreciated. The authorities have seen 100% merit in our plea on that point and have assured that they will take it up for active reconsideration.
 
Our humble request to you now is that in every media interaction you have on the topic, please please support us on FULL REMOVAL of Transfer Points (Reason being that TC cases are applying with location points and there is NO reason why they should have those 5 points) and a Re-Draw of All eligible candidates (with new point totals).
 
We absolutely want to avoid any digression of the discussion towards "Proper Verification Guidelines", or "NCR/ Non-NCR" topics...our plea has a very strong case and there is a very very good chance of it being accepted if we all stakeholders keep the pressure on.
 
As a suggestion we have also requested the department to shift those 5 points to First Child, OR to restrict the transfer cases to 5% quota (instead of 5 Points) incase they see merit in that as measure for this year.
 
Finally, we have also made a point that the amount of effort (for a Re-draw only, as no new application process is required for the above) and time that will be required to make the above requested changes, and to execute on them in the schools will be a matter of very few days, but the benefit of providing this fair opportunity to all parents will be huge!
 
Your help through the media will be very highly appreciated.

I think these 5 points should be transferred to first born child if it is possible!!!

You are absolutely right that media have a lot of other important issues not nursery admission. Transfer Points must go.

Please see my quote given to HT/NBT/Statesman/ Dainik Jagran for today's paper and as per my conversation with Senior official some good news is expected for parents soon.
Lets see, as i feel full justice would be done and @ Rahul ..I don't call the shots @ NDTV ..They edit as they have limited time for every byte and only a parent with 70 points can understand our plight and also which byte should have been included !!
 My Take in HT ( also did analysis of schools showing some having 90 % of transfer cases )
 "I feel transfer point is total injustice to the Delhi people in nursery admission.This allows him/her to secure a nursery admission seat, as the parent can use the same transfer certificate in 20 other schools in 8 km radius to block another nursery seat. As a consequence of this they have 20 times more probability of blocking a seat in all school with-in 8 km. This has debarred Delhi children with 70 point to get fair chance of Nursery admission. Is this justified and fair?
 
We have not not seen this type of unrest among parents before results since the time ganguly points system was implemented.Majority of the parents want hon LG to  remove transfer points and let the system be out of 95 points .This will give level playing field to all the parents and it wont disturb the system also.
