Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Untill and unless alumni points are scrapped together with transfer pointers than only we 70 pointers will not get seat in any school. As I feel in all schools where draw is for 75 pointers ,50% are alumni and hence they are in waistline.now  those  seat will get confirmed after transfer r put in 70 points and there will not be any chance for 70 pointers.Schools will not take the pain to redraw and they will only fill the vacant seat from the wait list. Alumni r always welcome in every schoolSo we have to appeal for scarping of alumni points also and only than it will be fair for all kids..

Kuldeep, understand that no guidelines can exist that suit everyone

Any point system is tantamount to a reservation. That ways it should be a free lottery for all applicants with no differentiation for EWS, girl child, distance etc. Why single out alumni points

Singled out Alumni because this thread is about alumni.

Girl child also does not make sense in a city like Delhi. Sibling makes some sense as it is about logistics. Same with gradation of distance. Other wise it should be free for all.

I totally agree with Priyanka & Rahul!!! People are never satisfied with what they get....just create a fuss about everything. Alumni & Sibling points are given only in one school - so why such a ruckus???
Dear alumnis ...do not worry for such loose talks...these baseless talks will not make any benefit..there is a logic and base of alumni caregory and we will for sure not let this happen..so priyanka rahul puja we all r together against all such unrreasonable demands...

Alumini points are applicable to only one school and not like the transfer case where it was considered in every school.

Some consideration for Alumini & sibling should be there.

Remove all points that is sibling and alumni. Give only distance points for the fair option

alumni point should be scrapped too. Coz the number of seats filled by alumni is too many not giving the chance to others. It may be for one school but then count the alumni of one school, it will be in thousands, and the alumni with nursery child too  will  be high. A time will come when only alumni children will be studying in a school. will that be ok?

I will specifically talk of DPS Vasant Vihar (RKP) as the situation stands... even with the transfer criterion gone, the only ppl who will be getting admission there under the general category are sibling cases and the alumni... with every passing year... under the current system of guidelines both sibling cases and alumni cases will keep increasing and will have unlimited advantage. From this year onwards, DPS RKP will effectively behave as an exclusive club where no outsider will be allowed... you only can get an outside chance at admission if u qualify as EWS or its the case of a girl child.

This current guideline as is will keep creating this situation for all good schools unless there is a cap on number of ppl who get seats under the sibling category or alumni category.

Today its Mothers Intl and DPS RKP next year onwards there will be more such schools.

Fully agreed, Alumni Points are also abolished. Why school are booked by family. In my view only Sibling points are  justified.

No matter what criterion u come up with trying to give additional points to one group over the other it will be unfair...

whether its is sibling or alumni or girl child or transfer if there is no cap on how many can be selected thru one set of rules --- there will be anarchy...

Today DPS RKP admission would only be grnted under current guidelines to sibling or alumni cases .. not a single 70 pointer can get in....

So irrespective of whatever no of criterion DOE comes up with... they should cap the max no of seat under all these "special categories" to 50%

50% seat should be available to the 70 pointer + ppl not selected in any of the above such categories... only then will it be LEAST UNFAIR

I'm in total disagreement with sibling points also... Let them set up an action comity and include group of parents and schools to come up with a fair process. It's so sad to see all parents and schools going thru this mess every year.
