Why cancel Confirmed Alumni seats...lets get together and fight

All parents who had confirmed nursery seats - 75 points - neighborhood and alumni points only, pls join so that we can fight for a common cause

Yes crony elitists....Alumni points are perpetuation of feudal mindset....let this system be given a decent burial. Why the kids of alumni deserve more, and why the kids of non-alumni less??? Wait your good feel factor is short lived...let all kids be treated as equals...this entire drama of bringing in alumni points are being misused by everyone....even schools are giving seats to ghost alumni kids: to buyers of seats who pay more......so get rid of this unjust, irrational and morally repugnant culture of awarding alumni points to kids of select club of people...the crony elitists

MR ALAM BETTER BE MORE INFORMED THAT THIS ALUMNI POINTS ARE FROM VERY BEGINNING AND THIS YEAR IT IS THE MINIMUM AND REASON IS LOT READ HIGH COURT ORDERS OF 2007 AND ALSO GANGULY COMMISSION REPORT.

AND FOR A LAYMAN THEIR PARENTS ALSO STUDIED IN DELHI SO THEY ARE IN DELHI FOR MORE TIME THAN OTHERS. SAME LOGIC AS GIVEN FOR TRANSFER POINTS

It is right alumni points have a history and is well deserved to some extent if thinking like a sage. But since no slabbed distance point are there this year and the way they are denying justice to 70 ers in all good schools is simply not acceptable. 5% cap can be justified in this situation and anything more is a dynastic system. Think like a sage , assume you have no alumni point..what would be your stand?

I think these kind of ppl are not not going to get the session start on time.

We have spent 14 years in a school, why should we not be given preference as alumni.

Some parents are planning to approach the court against alumni and sibling points. We must form a group, stay alert and if such a petition is admitted, get ourselves impleaded as a party so that our case is also heard.

Though honestly I believe there is not much of a chance in such a petition succeeding, there is no harm in staying proactive.

GUYS DON'T WORRY SIBLING & ALUMNI WERE THE ONLY 2 CRITERIA WITH DISTANCE IN GANGULY COMMISSION REPORT WHICH WAS DISCUSSED AND IMPLEMENTED AND ACCEPTED BY HON'BLE HIGH COURT IN 2007. THESE CANNOT BE CHALLENGED . ALL OTHER POINTS WERE OPTIONAL WHICH MAY BE OR MAY NOT BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION AND SCHOOLS MAY DECIDE.

SO HIGH COURT WILL NOT RULE AGAINST THE SAME IN FACT ON THE CONTRARY THE ALUMNI POINT (ONLY 5) IS REDUCED THIS YEAR (UNLIKE 26 IN DPS EARLIER)AND LOT OF PANIC HAS BEEN CREATED HERE.

THERE IS NO END TO THIS DEBATE BUT THIS WILL NOT GO AND CANNOT GO. AND THOSE WHO ARE GETTING ALUMNI POINTS ARE SON/DAUGHTER OF THE SOIL WHO ARE RESIDING HERE FOR MORE THAN ATLEAST 20 YEARS. THAT TOO THEY GET IN ONLY ONE SCHOOL. HON'BLE HIGH COURT UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS THAT IS WHY IT WAS NOT CHALLENGED BY EARLIER PEOPLE. PEOPLE MAY FILE PIL BUT THEY WILL BE WASTING TIME.MONEY & EFFORTS

The court might not cancel the Alumni points but can restrict to certain percentage(5% or 10%) on seeing what is happening .

Yes a cap will give justice to both alumni/non alumni otherwise this guideline is sure to be remembered as black guideline for public at large. Alumnis please think..don't a son belonging to alumni of indias top 10 school deserve a seat at good school in your city? Suppose you had to move to blore for job and exact situation like delhi is there.... how you will feel cheated..now you are equating son of soil = son of city... is not it selfish thinking? Think and think like a sage dear fellow.

And then you will scrap the previous selected alumni and have a redraw and not selected alumni will be in same position as those scrapped transfer cases...so again never ending process and 70 pointers who are getting selected in fresh draws will b scrapped again and then blame judiciary for it.
