Are the desperate parents to blame? Or the unregulated worst admission process to blame? Is DOE watching the ongoing admission process? These brokers roam around schools and they misguide parents, pursue and take money and at last cheat parents or escape out of scene. Parents need to be beware of these brokers. Thanks to Mr.Vohra for highlighting at right time.

Lathaaji

I think now higher machinery should take notice of this.

Sure and should frame policy for centralized admission process as most of the schools are selling the seats in cash or forced donation in name of the trust expect a few well known well established schools who want to safe guard their brand value. RTE Act 2009 has lost it's intrinsic value.

If the schools have been given permission to form their own criteria then thats an indirect way of allowing corruption. When that decision came, every sensible person knew what would happen. You can't really monitor much in this scenario. Even if somebody exposed one or two agents that would not change anything.

Ture! but few school draws are totally according to them like birla vidhya or blue bell. No transparency has been seen. these schools are not mentioned any criteria of draw.

beside this few school are very transparent like vasant velly, Shri Ram, Tagore International

kindly check there is not based on Birla Vidhya Niketan draw.

Many thanks Mr. Vohra for highlighting this menace, some people are taking undue advantage of Parent emotions. Not sure,if these reports would be considered by honorable Judiciary during its hearing on this month End.

Why is DOE not talking any actions on these touts?

The article mentions Education department officials are themselves involved. Such a sorry state of affairs in the capital.

I would like to remember the points highlighted in the memorandum submitted to DOE Director by our Founder in Dec'11.

Further the parents want to propose a Centralised Point System with centralized admission process with following salient features:

1. There should be one common form which should be filled by all parents who are seeking admissions for their kids, online/offline. The form should have all the required details and a few preferred schools.

2. It should be submitted to the DOE or the any concerned impartial authority.

3. Based on the details given by parents, the authorities should assign schools to each child (each child should be given a choice of 4-5 schools to choose from).

4. After this list is out, the parents should choose any one school and submit the same.

5. Once the list is final, the schools should be sent the list of the students who have been admitted in their school.

6 Scrap Alumni Points( Against RTE as alumni is educated till 12th so profiling against uneducated under RTE )

7 Transparency etc

8 .Strict action against all (schools which flout guidelines)

9. There should be a uniformity from sale of prospects to declaration of selected

candidates.

10. Upper Limit of fees should by schools to be fixed.

11. Any guidelines should be analysed before implementation.

12. No child should be left out without admission.

Really school has made there own point system to benefit the alumini, sibling and special cast of the society..

Mr. Vohra request you kindly take this forward, if court can scrape all management quota and make all those seats transferred to general category.... probably take a online consent from parents who think this to be relevant share the same with DOE or gov.... to make it more fair and relevant for all those seeking admission in nursery and people who are salaried and don't have this much money to give to brokers.  Pooja Singhal
