I know that in DPS Rohini Delhi fees have been increased every year and now it has become three times what it was 6 years back. which is abt 300% hike.
some one shld ask why it is so much rise? Parents have to give as NO say in school.

in 2014 -- tution fee 5725 per month ( ann chges 12k/- dev chrgs 9270/-) - one time
in 2008 -- tution fee abt 1600 per month ( ann chges 4k/- dev chrgs 2.5k/-) - one time

Parents can share fees charged by other schools also .

It should be made compulsory for the schools to have fee structure of previous year and for current session on their website.It will help in two ways.First parents will apply only in those schools where they can afford and second it will increase transparency and if fee hike will be more than allowed limit (if any from DoE) then proper rationale should also be there.....It will be really helpful...
I request Mr Vohra to please put this matter before the concerned authority as this will remove ambiguity for fee structure.

There are schools which are charging more than 10 k pm . They have hiked a lot in single year .

My child was selected in draw in Ryan vasant kunj.But i did not get my child admitted there because of fee hike.This year it is above 10K/pm as compared to 6.5K (approx last year)..there is no authority to monitor all this...

thats true, schools are chargng very high fees also. It is that we are sending if we afford but no authority is there to monitor and control fees hike every year.
there shld be some condition for hike in fees. School charges hell lot of amount in name of annual charges and dev fees annually.

DOE may issue some standard format of information to be furnished compulsorily by school authorities. The open display of this information on their respective websites may be made mandatory for all schools.
Such type of transparency will definitely help to improve the existing quality of education.
