major hassle. Some schools are waiting it out—there are still unanswered questions such as status of waitlist—while others are trying to get them over as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, transfer category applicants are hitting back—they've finally taken the matter to court and argue that seats vacated by them will now go mainly to alumni and siblings still leaving 70-pointers out of the game.

That isn't the case, at least not at Tagore International School, East of Kailash, which will hold draws for 2,800 applicants who have 70 points, including those who'd originally got the five transfer ones. "We haven't yet decided on the date but we've displayed the list. Our school is not a centre for the CBSEs but we'll have to hold the draws on a day we don't have a home exam," says principal Suman Nath. "Either way it's a hassle because we have to make coupons again, inform the parents, issue circulars." They've had to re-calculate for the waitlist as well.

L V Sehgal, principal, Bal Bharti School, Pusa Road, is choosing to wait. "There is still no clarity on a number of points—what do we do about the waitlisted parents, for instance?" he asks. "We don't want to do anything that'll again get challenged and make us repeat the process."

"I want to get it over with as soon as possible," says Jyoti Arora, Mt Abu Public School, Rohini. "We'll probably hold it at the end of this week." About 900 candidates will be eligible for the draw and which will include also the waitlisted ones.

Meanwhile, a group of 'genuine' interstate transfer cases have challenged the latest order in court. "We have data that shows that in some schools, seats vacated by transfer cases will go entirely to the alumni. The 70-pointers who protested against transfer points will still be out of the race," says a parent.

CHALAKI of Transferred brought to NOTICE-----> READ THIS.

Yes I do stand by this ..Everyone is talking about the 75 points but what about the thousands of parents holding 70 points for their kids....They stand nowhere.PATHETIC EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA.

Whats happening?? we are just waiting out kid to get admission in school now..its almost 2 months now we are running for it..My daughter got shortlisted in Chinmaya Vidyalaya in girls lucky draw..But they are not responding on admission part and their website says..all the draws are nullified as per latest DOE rules....is this a joke..are there any controlling point whethers the rules are followed by schools or not??....

Last year me and several others were out of the lottery as we didn't have enough points, this year its the same so what ever we do we will have the same fate although by God,s grace with 70 points my child secured a seat. Now again the same stress. What will happen? Whom to blame? Just hope it ends.

Actually people in India do not want the transparency. The point system actually gives you a picture that where the child should be given the admission. For ex. :

1. The second child must go to the same school where the first child is studying (sibling case)

2. The child must get the admission from where the parents had been educated b'coz the parents has seen the results in themselves who their school helped them to well groomed (alumni)

Where the criteria has come for Inter state transfer.

Mr. LG, I fully agree upon the latest guidance issued. I think now the process should not stop.

About waitlisted candidates, the admission is confirmed to waitlisted candidates, hence, the waitlisted should also be included in draw of 70 pointers.
