Measuring the Distance between School and Residence

Hello 

Please suggest as to how are you guys measuring the distance between the school and residence when no such instruction is given on the school website. 

I know that Bal Bharti has given some instructions. Can we follow the same for all the schools unless specifically provided?

You can use the Google Maps and just round off its output.
