By that logic why should preference be given to a girl child in general category for co-ed school; why should siblings be given as many as 20 points; why should all distances be treated as equal... Please see the larger picture
tax does come in
you are subjected to state levies which the state uses for benefit of its citizen, incl schools etc
@Shweta..Why didn't this logic Dawn upon LG and DoE earlier ma'm? And if at all it did dawn upon them now do you really think what DoE is doing now is correct???Really do you think partial draw is the way to go???If the selected 70pointers think that if redraw is done they are being crusified then so do we.We had not asked for the transfer points ma'm...we just applied according to the guidelines and the reason behind applying lesser number of schools is bcoz we didn't want to block seats in so many schools.
And please don't talk abt paying tax and target the interstate transfer guys..We are also citizens of India and have been paying taxes and own the right to education for our child as much as you do. if you want to reason out advantage and disadvantage, then why don't u see complete zero logic behind Alumni and girls child quota under general category too!!
Be it beginning of the session or mid-session,transfer is a pain and people who have to hop every 2 to 3 yrs will vouch for that. All said and done, the crux of the point is we had not asked for the points, it were per the guidelines issued and we complied. Am sure had there been a quota for the so called taxpaying delhi residents and had we gone against that in the court and you guys were to give up on your seats it would have hurt you as bad as it is hurting us now.
Why we parents are fighting now is the same reason why the selected 70 pointers want their setas to be untouched!!The irony of the whole thing is the same set of people call one thing as unfair and the other thing fair. If you really want it to be fair for everyone then just have a clear slate and have a redraw for all. If no then don't question us here
Give me ur contact number...will call u
I absolutely agree.. transfer is really painful
no body asked for the transfer points.. now after choosing few schools we are asked for partial draw.. this is not done PIL is a must..
shweta...by this logic delhi schools will always be a family heirloom or fixed deposit of selected delhi families...is it politics? generations will study in the same school coz u guys wont allow outsiders to come in.
So what we are fighting for getting rid of alumini points or redraw for all?
Shweta mam please dont be so harsh....we all are fighting against the DOE decisions which are taken at last moment.....we all understand each others situations .....mam this is not the new rule it was designed long back and followed in lot of places ......
Dear Ritesh - that is true for all criteria..They have all been around for a decade..Then why question the criteria..What we need to ensure is that no last minute change impacts genuine applicants..
If you really wanna fight and want something stable then DOE should free all the seats .... there should not be any criteria, including distance, alumni, transfer, girls, EWS nothing. There should be one criteria for the admission is "DRAW OF LOT" for all the forms received. Even DOE can fix some limit on the schools' fees...
Ya agreed, see here. No one replied on my thread http://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/there-should-not-be-a...
