We are suffering bcz of below concern:
1 first child- loose out bcz of sibling point and in DPS dwarks they has ve 35 points, no
Fault of parents and child.
2. Alumni- what is fault of child if parents are not from delhi,
DOE should first do something for regularizing the process of admission, and at 11th hour
Decion on change of point system is shamful for these bunch of jockers.
Better put controls on school s who are taking donations and are not clearly giving the shortlisting
Basis their own declared points.
Education of parents does matter in child upbring and growth and should be consider.

infact educated & professional parents are feeling much pressure because the society also has higher expectations from the children of such parents.

i agree with jyoti's view about if points for profession and education are withdrawn then we dont get any chance . on the basis of education n profession we can get atleast minimum point so no use of this idea sir ji.

Finally some good news at the end of a long day at office & forum.. :)
Delhi’s Education minister Arvinder Singh Lovely clarified on Friday that doing away with the parameters of profession and education of parents for nursery admissions will apply only to those schools which are yet to bring out their lists. ‘‘Those students who have already been admitted will not be affected, but the schools should treat this as a warning for the future,’’ he said.

This is again causing confusion. If a rule is made then it should apply to ALL admissions for session 2010-2011 whether the students have been admitted or the results are to be declared. Again that is discriminatory if schools who have completed the admission process are exempted. Schools who have admitted the children should refund the money and make fresh list on new guidelines to be fair to all.

DPS Dwarka has 20 points for parent's educaional background and if that is going to change we will have absolutely zero probabilility of figuring in their list...

Read today's newspaper (TOI) its only applicable to those schools who are still to declare results... But is going to effect most of us.

Hi Mr Vohra
I want to ask a question if we remove the points for the parents qualifications and education then why don't we also remove the points for Alumni as that too falls in the same catogory.
Also give me one school name where a child can get admission if he/she has no sibling and the parents have not studied in delhi when the competetion is so tough?
Now lets take a situation where a parent has studied from a municipal school, has been a brilliant person, has now become a professional and wants his/her child to go to a better school. If the education points are scraped then he/she stands no chance to get the child in such schools ever. Is this not violation of right?
Going by the statment of Mr Lovely in yesterdays' newspaper "Parents out of Nursery Admission" it would be justified if the Alumni points are scaped too. Maybe then there is some balance.

It is suffering. Delhi should not become Australia like no one other than Australia can study there. We belong to India and atleast in primary studies this separation should not happen. In higher studies and jobs, Domicile certificate is needed. that is OK.
DOE should remove alumuni and give weightage to first child. Do u agree sumit ji.
Bal Bharati, Pusa road is giving 30 points for parents education. The result is coming day after tomorrow.
