Lets give them time to enjoy their childhood ....... I would be happiest person at planet if 4+ is accepted
Basic discipline could be taught very well at Home / Play School itself thru playway methods
4+ is also childhood 3+ or 4+ it wont make any difference in the end kid has to go to school...
I do agree with u Rahul...also pls dnt make complsion of 4+ as parens who want 3+ suffer because of this decision...if it remains 3+ then atleast parents has liberty to put kids in school at 3+/4+ ...choice lies with parents..
But many schools like Amity, Father Agnel etc. do not give admission to kids higher than certain cut-off age limit. That is the real problem.
i ACTUALLY DONT CARE whether it's 3+ or 4+...i care more for the fact that they should have a well thought and permanent admission system and policy in place.cannot the supreme court decide this for our nation once and for all.....perhaps if the list of scam piling lessons! but on a more serious note, wehave enuf palay schools to admit 3+....we need to come up with better neighbourhood school.this solves traffic woes, less travelling time for students and parents and better overall management of the city. Also if Crtierias to admissoin be necessary thay should be I suggest:
1.parents who dont use cars to drop off wards.
2 . parents who volunteer to offer their time and extend service to schools
3.parents who have a RWA certificate to confirm they are conscious citizens who do community service. and so on rather than alumni who resides on the other side of the city and only adds to the traffic mess!
Good suggestion akshay
I do not think there should be any confusion regarding the age at the time of admission, it has to be 3+ and not 4+. Please consider the situation when the child is due for competitive examinations where every day counts.
I thingk 4 years is the proper age for admission into the formal (nursery) section of the life long journey of education
You are absolutely right Upasna. The age should be 4+. All schools should follow this norms.
At 3+ or 4+ , Now the Question is will our children get admission this year in today's scenario?
You are right. Thiis is a big question. And we don't know the answer. But if the admission is processed in fair manner and under the proper guidelines, then our children will get admission. Otherwise we just need to cross our finger and depend on govt guidelines.
please for god sake dont make your own assumptions regarding the age... it cant be 4+ as on 31st march 2011 ...please use some sense rather than making illogical demands....cant you make out if its 4+ as on 31st march 2011 nursery sessions will go empty since kids who will turn 4+ by 31st march 2011 have already got admissions in 2010 itself....then who will get admitted to the new sessions...you cant have a gap of whole year among the classes in various schools...
