@Arjun: As pointed by Sakshi, they belong to same management, with just few minor differences

1. Though no one is less than the other one but Salwan is a bit older than GD Salwan.

2. Though both of the schools have extraordinary fees, I felt the crowd of GD Salwan to be much better.

3. Both has updated facilities like smart boards, shared grounds etc.

4. Both focus on Montessori method of teaching, but Salwan get an edge for its extra curricular activities(famous for its cricket team)

PS: Both schools are among the top 10 schools of central delhi radar.

Last yr I got admissions in both but went for Gd salwan just for the crowd and the way GD was dealing the children.

Regarding the fees like I said there is not much difference. They both cost a fortune if you see it as a complete 14yr package. So I would suggest you if you are considering an option among them only then dont keep Fees as a factor.

go for SPS if u hv to chose between these 2, GD is more expensive.

@Nitin: The difference of fees is not much(Hardly 1-2K), moreover I found the crowd of GD salwan to be better. Also almost every third-fourth parent I met was a doctor. I dont want to discourage but there has been a recent case of infection in Salwan meals too(School buried the news very gracefully).

I would still go with GD : My 2 Cents

ORN is older than GD .

For first quarter ORN one is asking 42000/- I can share my offer latter if you need.

Both school share common plan ground. I don't have any experience with anyone as  i am just a school hunter like you for now :)

@Veerbhan:

ORN is older than GD: You are correct

For first quarter ORN one is asking 42000/-: GD would be approx 43-45K

Both school share common plan ground: Yes

I don't have any experience with anyone as  i am just a school hunter like you for now: I got my admission last year...so sharing my experience.

while i was in queue to submit the form, next to me was a father whose kid was studying in GD and he was very critical of the school and wanted to change. He wanted his younger kid to get admission in SPS and not GD when i told him he wud be getting sibling points in GD.

He also did mention that fees was too much and they keep asking for extra etc etc.

and when you talk about the crowd, its but obvious only the affluent wud be able to afford it. Y not go for an international school if one wants to pay so much.

GD is all hype.

@Nitin: When I wrote the answer in the morning I was prepared to get a thrash like this But here are my my thoughts

1. When you talk about "affluent", please keep in mind both have more or less the same fee structure., thus Salwan also falls in the same bucket and If according to you a difference of 1-2K PM is an isolating factor, I seriously request you to reconsider.

2. He also did mention that fees was too much and they keep asking for extra etc etc.: When the parent has not ever been in Salwan how come he can be sure that Salwan doesnt follow this ? Consider this, If he would have been so much unsatisfied, why would he opt the same school again for his younger one. Infact I would only reconsider the same school if I am fully content with it. Or like you said he had the option of an International school ...Right ? He could have gone for that....But he didnt..!!

People just talk like naive and rather than just blindly following them you should cross question them. Apart from this, its a human tendency to never ever be satisfy from what you have. You can't appease everyone, There would always and always be few who will remain displeased.

JFYI Salwan, BBPS and Springdales and almost every other school follow this. These are some of the charges which every school charge for excursions, picnics and other miscellaneous activities.

3. Thanks for comparing GD with International schools, But I still feel they lags too much both in fees and infrastructure front. Apologies for my ignorance:, but can you point me an International school in the same vicinity with approx same fee structure

4. GD is all hype: So is Salwan

Thanks

Pankaj

comparing schools is a very tricky subject and when it involves ones kid, it becomes even more touchy

i wont comment more on this subject, but i totally agree on point 4. Its just that i never wanted to say it myself :)

@Nitin: True.. and thats why never form an image just from a single feedback. In fact try to talk to senior children from those schools. Lets close this chapter here.

But seriously if there is any such international school nearby,  please throw some light on it.#NoSarcasam

@pankajtalwar what qutr fees r u paying currently as your child is in nursery in gd

@Arjun: I opted out of it, because I Got a better option

any school will be a better option than GD  coz everyone gets admission there ;)
