The questions are:

1.Common date for display of lists( which is not being followed as per verbal intimation by the schools

2.Fairness of lottery system???

Adding to Namrata's Question

Assurance if child name appears in lottery , we won't be missing seat on account of parents unavailability

Special children require special education and luckily we have schools around that have developed excellent favourable infrastructure for overall growth and development of such children after after long research and with much hardwork and creativity.
Also on the other hand there is an ever increasing demand for such environment given increasing awareness and efforts from parents side for there special children .
It has always been a herculeous task to get ones child into nursery of any decent school for any child. On top of that if one happens to be a parent of a special needs child, the task gets multiplied manifolds.
There used to be a 3%reservation for special needs children in all schools for nursery admission. So that there was a category of special needs and a draw of lots was held for special needs category and designated no.of children were selected.
This time the category of special needs has been pooled along with EWS and backward classes under a common 25%reservation,imply that a common pool will include EWS(forms are in thousands per school),special needs(forms less than some 50 per school).and a draw of lots will be held out of this.Apparantly, little did the authorities anticipate that a lottery for fixed no. of seats from this common pool will dilute the chances of a special child being selected by over hundred times!
At the same time there are high chances that the already very few(3-4 )seats which were meant for special children are filled by TYPICAL EWS children rather than NEEDY CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS FOR WHOM THOSE SEATS ARE BASICALLY MEANT.

There are chances that the seats of schools with infrastructure for special needs are totally wasted at one hand and at the same time special needs children being deprived of the opportunity to utilize the infrastructure which is already in place!

What will happen in case one of the twins is selected in the draw. If the seats are not vacant what will be the fate of the other twin

1. according to DOE the distance should be aerial whereas all the schools are using google maps to calculate the distance, which gives distance according to direction....which is wrong.

Some schools like shadley public school which has buzzworld as playschool is calling for an interactive session with both parents and ward. In name if document verification without even conducting a draw of lots yet...is that allowed?

There is possibility that some schools may give fraudulent points under categories of Alumni,Sibling & interstate transfer to some for admitting students which they like, thereby will draw less number of seats for who scored 70 points. for bringing transparency in the draw of open seats, before draw of open seats school must declare list of students who scored more than 70 points & there forms must kept open for verification of parents who will attend draw.

It is fact that every school has received more applications than seats available &  large number of these applicants will score similar points 70. therefore above Clarification from Govt. is necessary.

Is there any need for hereditary privilege in school admission process in name of Alumni? It is definitely an indirect screening process and why can't it be abolished?

Ya i agree with u lathaa...alumni points should not be allowed. If i m not alumni of school as i never studied in delhi but due to my job or posting compulsions my ward is suffering......is it fair?

Alumni points is a big barrier for a common man.
