READ THIS DETAILED SIMULATION to see what HAS happened. How everybody is trying to grab his or her child's seat by hook or crook.
This point system has left thousands of kids to the margin whereas those  few "grabbing" points are making the most of it.

examples are 18 seats open for almost 1600 normal applicants with 70 points.

or

No call for draw to thousands who applied solely on neighborhood criteria.

I can understand your concern with transfer points, but why should there be a cap on siblings , alumni? Wouldn't you want to avail this benefit if you have one of your children in the same school or you're a passout from the same school?

Alumni concept should be scrapped, why someone should get the admission because one of their parents had studied in that school. What harm other kids have done, when most of the seats are taken by Alumni. It is like not giving fair chance to the other kids. Alumni is based on past and sibling based on present.

If still the concept of Alumni needs to be retained then there should be cap on it.
