UNFAIR - No chance for kids with 70 points

No matter how much we praise the new point system but it is becoming nightmare for the parents of kids who scored just the distance points.

Now, I think, the previous point system was ok.

I have all top schools within 3 km of my home (South Delhi) but since the criteria is 8 km and number of applications has increased manifolds (AS STATED BY MR VOHRA IN OTHER POST) in all schools just due to this, I have no chance.

Almost all top 15 schools are saying they have more application > 75 points for total number of seats. That means my kids doesn't even get a opportunity to be included in a lucky Draw. THE END OF THE ROAD FOR PARENTS WITH 70 POINTS.

Mr VOHRA Can we still think something about this??

People are getting nervous and hopeless due to this.

Find some GOVERNMENT CRAPPY SCHOOL GUYS OR GO TO SOME OTHER CITY...

I AM FRUSTRATED TO MY CORE!!!!

my son is already 4 plus....with 70 points he is not even eligible for lottery. so what about his future?There should definitely be some points for the first child. Transfer case points should be given to the first child.

Prob is with first child n boy...i dnt knw with just 70 points my kids chance is less..moreover next yr he will be 4 plue..agin prob off UPPER AGE LIMITS SET BY MANY SCHOOLS...WHAT TO DO THEN

I agree about the fake transfer certificates. .....its sick that honesty will put you in a difficult situation and dishonesty will get you admissions in top schools

My mind got blown away this morning when I analyzed the data of DPS RKP results for Vasant Vihar Branch.

BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG FRAAAAAAAAAAAUDDDDDDDDDDDD!!

Please see the analysis for yourself and pull your hairs, GET A GUN AND SHOOT YOURSELF!!

 

TOTAL SEATS: 140 (GENERAL)

NO OF TRANSFER CASES SELECTED: 51, 38% OF TOTAL

 

 

TOTAL WAIT LISTED: 193

NO OF TRANSFER CASES SELECTED IN WAIT LIST: 140,  73% of total wait listed are transfer cases

 

AGONY DOESN'T STOPS HERE, THE NEXT ONE WILL CLEARLY BLOW AWAY YOUR MIND:

THERE ARE 6 CANDIDATES SELECTED IN DPS RKP WITH SIBLING AND TRANSFER POINT BOTH?????????,

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE AND JUSTIFIED, SHEER NONSENSE...I AM LISTING DOWN THOSE SIX CASES FOR PEOPLE TO VERIFY IF THEY CAN (NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINST ANYBODY BUT ITS IN PUBLIC DOMAIN FOR PEOPLE TO VERIFY, SOURCE DPS WEBSITE):

We need to send this data to DPS RK Puram immediately and this should be done by Mr. Vohra and team.

These students should be blacklisted from all schools. While students are innoncent but parents cannot be spared here. Iam feeling disgusted with this entire thing now.

@Abhishek, i dont support transfer points at all and I am a parent just like you with no sibling, alumni, and transfer points, but I dont see any 'scam' just because of sibling and transfer points are together. I remember a case 2 - 3 years back at a school (ahlcon public) where the student scoring the highest was such a case - "sibling + transfer" since the parents had got transferred last year and his big brother got admission in the middle of the session that year. So there could be valid/ right sibling + transfer cases also.

Also, somehow i am not sure what could be the motivating factor for the above parents to fudge transfer docs if they already had sibling points, they would have anyways got through.

But what your data did bring out was that one of the parents has given residence locality as "R K Puram" while he is staying at "Dwarka Sec 12" which is wrong. Now if dwarka sec 12 is not within 8km aerial distance of DPS VV, and the parent selected a wrong residence locality and gets selected, then that is an issue.

Why transfer point at all? We too came to Delhi in 2012 as further training in my field demanded that. So if that would have been 1 yr later I would have got 5 points and sure shot admission. How ridiculous LG 's point system is? What a brain his advisers have got? Easily making people living in Delhi for more than a year a second class citizen. Ironically while we as parents are banging our head ...secretaries in DOE are hardly moved....
While this issue doesn't worry A am aadmi party as they are busy securing further ground for loksabha...
