Alright Rupa!! Thanx again dear

Hi Preeti...FAS follows more academic approach -- traditional, structured and teacher-directed-- focused on formal reading and math readiness skills, such as learning and writing letter names, numbers  and how to count. ……..vs. a developmental approach -- informal and child directed---emphasis on cognitive and social development-- based on the belief that children are capable, curious learners who are free to learn  themselves and express their thoughts and ideas--- so it’s up to you to decide which is right for your child.. .. i guess swimming and skating are not meant for nursery kids ...

Thanx Rupa for the feedback.

Kindly tell us one more thing that what teaching methods and what didn't you liked about it.

Also they have swimming and skating etc., this is what I have heard. Please give your valuable inputs as your child is there and you must be having more insight into all this

Last year my daughter was shortlisted for Amity ...but we chose FAS because of distance (as we are in 62) and less fees comapre to other schools in Noida.....Amity is quite far….and moreover FAS is a convent school n follows catholic culture thus more disciplined........most importantly we got a very good feedback from other parents whose kids are studying in FAS..

But somehow now I feel

  1. Teacher students ratio is very high approx 1:40.. and i guess kids don't get personal attention ...
  2. I am not quite impressed with the teaching methods they follow …
  3. Less extra curricular activities..

And we heard that DPS Noida is one the best school in Noida…

FAS believes in giving daily Homework, sometimes less and sometimes more whereas other school like Apeejay, Noida, they have the habit of giving homework only on friday. Now it depends what we want for our child, keeping other criterias also in mind.

Well stating a school to be number one is the game of lot many things and who are the ppl rating a school to be No. 1. FAS does follow strict discipline and no excuse is granted in any case. They let the child do lot of hard work by providing a lot of homework and stuff.
