moderators point of view.
I would like to know how the moderators suggest helping those parents who applied in schools and did not get through AND the school flouted norms. I had shared a specific post earlier as well but no response. There are more specific examples and people on the group can share even more.
- Apeejay Sheikh Sarai - Wrong criteria similar to Pitampura and MOST IMPORTANTLY - The school has declared 18 candidates which is NOT as per their declared criteria.
- Amity Saket - Never came out with a list of candidates with points. Never declared a date / time of draw of lots for neighborhood criteria. Just came out with a list
- KR Mangalam and Summerfields - Never came out with the list of candidates with points on their website. Draw of lots announced at last minute. No sufficient notice.
- GD Goenka SV - Distance criteria had 0-1 / 1-3 / 3-6 / >6 criteria for same 60 points On the day of draw, they came out with a draw for all candidates in 0-10 kms flouting the criteria they declared. The criteria is still on their website.
These are just 5 of the 19 schools I had applied for. Am sure there are more such cases elsewhere. I am not sure whether everyone has really seen this order from Education department. These schools have violated a number of guidelines set out by the Education department.
I really believe that the group upholds the spirit of a fair admission process and will try to help people who are trying to get our kids admissions in the best possible school.

go for a visit, second option is to continue with a v.good playschool with focus on Individual care for every child, so that if you have to apply for a school next year in kg most schools have an exam for the kids and your kid would be ready schools like DONBOSCO(BOYS), LADY IRWIN DEF.COL.(GIRLS), CARMEL CONVENT(GIRLS), AIRFORCE BAL BHARTI LODHI ROAD only take kids in KG so these are open next year along with many other schools, schools in noida like(apeejay might take kids midsession), schools in faridabad are taking kids like manav rachna etc. Another hearsay is a that most big school which have opened up exclusive nursery schools will adjust kids in there main school later on this info is not confirmed list of schools like this:
Green fields Nursery school
Amiown (amity puspvihar)
KR Mangalam Junior(near ashram chowk)
La Petite(pamposh enclave) -GD goenka
Blossoms(sant nagar red light)-Blue bells
Apeejay Rythym school- Apeejay schools
Mothers Pride - Presidium
fees of some of these schools are exorbitant around 15000 per month.
all these options are to be tried only if everything else fails. Firstly you should Draft an excellent request letter addressed to the principal of schools you are most interested in & feel that you have a chance of getting past the Guard, try to explain your situation to them personally, this thing has provided results in the past years but only after constant persuasion.…

letters and numbers etc. The interaction was followed by a visit to school facilities, followed by interaction of parents with the head of the primary section. The only school that actually gave us a prospectus against the registration fee we paid (Cambridge also gave us a prospectus from the previous year). We also somehow felt that the school architecture was not claustrophobic or comparatively dingy, as compared to some other schools. Plus points: We felt there is a lot of attention paid to students, not as impersonal as some other schools. The school has a huge ground of 7 acres, with a lot of facilities, the downside is it is not in the same campus - but about 200 meters away, and where students from classes 3 and above are taken in the school bus. The classrooms are nice. The transportation incharge came to meet us to discuss the bus routes etc - the effort and time they gave us was appreciated by us. The biggest advantage -they have opened doors to students for in-person classes from November - which was what we were looking forward to. Admission fees 35k, quarterly fees to be paid at the time of session start in April 2022. Since both of us got very positive vibes from the school visit, we ranked it #1 in the list, though it is the farthest from residence - around 30-40 minutes at least, one way. Indicated there might be a revision in th quarterly fees from the next session, to the tune of 5-10%. 6: K R Managalam, Vaishali: We decided to visit the school, instead of online interaction. The interaction was mainly with us, and was over in 5-10 minutes. We were shown around the school. Seemed to be a normal traditional school with comparative facilities to that of DPS. 7. We were called for interactions at GD Goenka, Indirapuram, and St. Teresa also, but decided to skip them as it seemed to be too many to form a decision. These two schools again seemed to be in the league of traditional schools, comparable to KR Mangalam, Cambridge or DPS, with comparable quarterly fees. So we skipped them. General observations: Seats are not being filled, probably due to COVID and any registration has a good chance of getting an admission, irrespective of the interaction. Some schools are giving discounts on admission fees. I hope this detailed feedback is of help to other parents. Will also look forward to further insights and feedback which can help us also, as we have not yet taken the final call.…

In meanwhile parents in a group of 10-15 were called in a conference room. Principal mam & headmistress mam asked simple introduction from them. Both parents should speak for 2-3 min one after other. They can speak regarding their educational qualifications, profession, any specific quality of their child, specific reason for choosing DPSI, etc. in a fluent and precise manner to make the introduction effective. Results: List of finally selected candidates was displayed Online.…
