deal with the sheer volume before admitting the students. Bombarded with the applications from not only Noida, but also Delhi and Ghaziabad, some schools have decided not to take out a second list. “Our first list is out and the total number of selected students is 1,034. The possibility of a second list is very slim as the first list is comprehensive. We don’t predict a lot of dropouts. We had received over 2,500 applications this year,” said Renu Singh, principal, Amity International School. Others schools decided to adopt the first-come-first-served basis for admitting students. “We only have 200 seats and we have already received over 10,000 applications. We are announcing lists on a weekly basis after sifting through the applications and meeting parents. We expect our seats to be filled up by next week,” said Nidhi Sirohi, principal Kothari International School. Billabong High International School in Noida too has followed Kothari’s principle. “We haven’t set a final date for our admission, instead we focus on making sure that the school is right for the child,” said Sangita Chima, principal of the school. Delhi Public School explained that they adhere to the point system followed in Delhi, but this year they are considering a second round of admissions. “We got endless requests from parents asking for a second round. Many missed the first round of applications so we consider a second one in November. But seats are limited and a lot depends on the first round. We will be releasing our first list on October 10,” said Kamini Bhasin, the school principal. Bal Bharati Public School, which had initially announced that their list will be coming out this week, has said that a draw of lots will take place on October 1 and the final list of admission will be displayed on the same day in the school at 2pm. Somerville School in Noida, on the other hand, will not be coming out with a list at all; instead, they will be sending out a letter to the parents of successful candidates via couriers. Schools such as Ryan International have decided to proceed with the admission process by dealing with the parents in batches. “It’s impossible to deal with all the candidates in one go. Instead, we have divided them in batches and accordingly we’ll be meeting all the candidates at an interval of four days, verifying their documents and then finally taking a decision. We should be ending the entire process by the middle of next month,” said Anuradha Sharma, principal Ryan International School. Other schools that haven’t rushed into the admission race will be starting applications at a later stage. “Forms will be available from October 10. The academic session starts in April and we are in no hurry to start admissions early,” said a spokesperson for DAV Public School. Due to a large number of applications, many schools will not be taking out a second list. Others may take out another list on request of parents.

ls only, don't want any other board affiliated school .
Global Genesis.Pathways,GIIS,Shiv Nadar,TSMS... these are bit far away from our current location.
If I categorize the schools in two ways
1. Conventional schools
2. New age schools
What are the best options available for new age schools? (G D Goneka, Kothari, Ramagya, etc etc)
in case of conventional schools
DPS
Khaitan
Somerville
Fr. Agnel
Amity International

Cambridge
please provide inputs, what should be the preference order?…
surveys is to create publicity and artificial demand for these schools. I dont understand how step by step which has been here for only 2 odd years can be the best school in Noida .
These surveys should be interpreted with much caution as these are sponsored and the better their sponsorship the higher their chances of figuring in top 2 or 3 .
I dont think there is any credibility to these surveys. My advise to all the parents is BE CAREFUL WHEN DECIDING!
Its all nexus between the school , the media agency , the research agency and the business houses backing these schools. (most schools are backed by business houses nowadays ... be it amity or appejay or step by step or lotus valley or kothari international you just name it.

September and the final list of admitted students will be declared soon after.
A number of schools said a fee hike is likely, even though the exact amount has not been decided. "We have already received 2,600 forms and expect more submissions. Fee hike is inevitable, but we haven't decided the exact amount," said Renu Singh, Amity International School principal.
"Due to inflation, the general cost of living has gone up. Salaries of teachers will also be increasing. The fee hike will be around the 10% mark, but there no concrete decision has been taken," said Nidhi Sirohi, principal, Kothari International School.
"Reservation of 25% EWS students will also be an additional cost for us leading to a fee hike," said Asha Prabhakar, principal, Bal Bharati. tnn
