Admissions? Say what?

Govt. 25% EWS :  Ah lets us bat for the poor. But hang on who is taking the benefit. In most cases it seems well off people with fake EWS certificates. Result Less number of seats for tax paying open category, whereas fraudsters make merry.

LG 5 Points IST, Alumni: So what if you have lived in Delhi for all your life and contributed to its development. When it comes to admission you can go to hell, we will give preference to person who moved here yesterday. And well it is your fault if you didn't go to a fancy school yourself, so that your kid will get admission in Alumni. Even fewer seats left. Sorry 70 pointers.

AAP 8km: we don't think enough misery has been done? Let whole of Delhi apply for whole of Delhi.  We will ensure each of mango people is doing andholan and dharna for next 4 months and may be use services of our colleagues in SC. Let us create 70 point anarchy.

Courts (Judge): Well, well well. How on earth can I not have a say. I will make you pay for coming to me for justice. I will take decisions based on what color shirt I am wearing on a particular day.

Poor 70 pointers....

Folks - please understand the order from SC. its has stayed the "operations of the order" basis the appeal and so far not challenged the HC decision. understand the difference please. the high court judgment came after long hearing and I'm sure the acting Chief justice and others know their job and took a stance on what is right. The only issue which was weak was deferring the IST case decision till 16th but on 16th they will prove that after admissions have been completed on 9th - there are more seats available at 70 pointers as the first data had wards selected in two or more seats. so the vacant seats are bound to go up. there is a reason why the court asked parents to occupy one seat and vacate the other. the courts know what they are doing. also SC will first let HC pass the order on 16th and then give its observation that too if the need be.

Patience is the key but people think PIL is the road to success.

joo joo parents sochte hain ke court jane sey seat mil jati hai pls abni galat fahmi door kar layn, itihas gawah hai ki court jane se sirf tareek milti hai seat nahi !
Seat milti hai to 4th draw that wait karne say aur apne khuda par child pe wishwas rakhne say,
As the seats are based on lucky draw.

Dear Ekta, if all the list were out than perhaps your ward would have also got admitted.

One of my knwns ward last year got admission in 4th list. But all the PILs are only adding up to the delay and agony. If you would have said this after 3rd or 4th list I could have understand. All the PILs are not allowing the admission procedure to start even.

Dear all education is and must be a state subject and if govt (state) is allowing some pvt institutions to run educational institutions then govt must have there say in there working and govt must decide the things.....it is also to be pointed out that schools are run by societies which are formed by big businessmen one way or the other.

If govt. DO not look in to the matter then schools will take your angels interview  and ask you stupod questions like your kid is born normally or by operation.....

So think all my dear friends before coming to any conclusion

There is nothing like 70 pointers.. We are ZERO pointers.. There is no value of these 70 points.

I applied to all the schools in my locality ( there are 6-7  schools in 1-2 KM radius near my place) and my daughter name got admission in none! Few have draw, few don't have! Now there is not a single seat for my daughter and i am not looking for any A, B or so called 'status' school.. !

Shakshi Mam don't the DOE has any say in this case, dead line only for this year, and consider the individual cases

@Nupur

Why are you trivializing the pain of so many unfortunate parents whose children have not got admission and are being treated with disdain and contempt with all and sudry be it the schools or administration orcourts. All we are asking for is a level playing field and then let luck play its part. This is not IIM/IIT as you are putting it. We are also tax payers and if Govt. is poking their nose in private admissions process then they better ensure to create a level playing field. It is their job to ensure free and fair play and ensure that no category gets undue advantage.

You tell me. What rational is there for bonus points for IST or Almuni? ESW eat away 25% seats and probably a big chunk among these are fake ESW cases. Who will check that? Earlier there used to be management qouta, so some people had the option of paying donation if they could afford. Now what happened after they introduced ESW and removed management qouta. The schools transferred all the burden to general category by not only increasing fees, but also demanding donation on filmsy grounds like x fund, y fund.

What choice do I have? I have 10 schools in 1 KM radious of my house. And I can get into none of them. Instead my kid may have to go to a school 8kms away from home and I have no control over it.
