SC entertains matters on Question of Law.
An SC decision becomes a deemed law unless an Act is passed to nullify the decision (eg: criminal MP/MLA case in which SC nailed tainted MP/MLA. UPA was going to bring in an Act to nullify the SC order and save the MP/MLA. Eventually RG choosing to tear the bill in public dramatically).
So, it is not fair to expect a quick judgment from SC as it will have bearing pan India. Every aspect has to be carefully deliberated.
Let us wait & have faith in our Judicial system.
Present application before SC is for stay only.
The main case will be heard before single judge HC.
Appeal can be made against Single Judge HC before DB HC, SC, review petitions etc etc...
So it will take a couple of years to eventually close the matter finally.

many schools displayed that first list will shorted on 1km area basis in ews cattegri why?

Comment by hansveer sahni on January 24, 2014 at 12:45pm

8 km criteria is so called for neighbourhood schools , 8 km radius by aerial route is almost 1.5/2 times by road normal route for eg. for dps RKP ( east of kailash branch ) places like chanakyapuri , mehrauli , badarpur , mayur vihar , patpar gunj neighbourhood ?? are these places really in neighbourhood ?? was this 8km criteria just an eye wash or schools have manuplated the 8km road distance for 8km aerial distance ?

Not sure, what if any rule changes after 31st. This is not fair on our children.

M not too worried, if its in SC let it be settled once and for all.

If the SC would have found any iota of merit in school's argument they would have stayed the guidelines for now before they hear the plea on 31st.

Remember, that pressure will be huge even on SC to reverse the judgement of first Single bench of HC and then division bench of HC.

I am not too worried now.

Schools are getting insane. Not sure after getting rejected by SC. They may try to touch base with President of India. Thanks Mr. VOHRA for creating a forum to nail Schools.
