Happy for now .!! But supreme court should have ruled that there would be no change whatsoever in this year's guidelines as it is too late...

Dear all Can Any one make it Clear that my Daughter is 4.7Years as on 31.01.2014 , and no school in Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Delhi-96, Giving Admission Except Saint Marry. The other schools are saying that they are admitting only 3+  , but can any one speak what is this 3+ and what is its maximum Limit, since as per Court Ciculars on Delhi Education Website there is only Minimum age criteria form Nursery (3Years), KG(4Years) & 1ST  (5Years) but no Maximum age limit. And  Said Schools Showing there Vacancy for KG and 1ST Also from www.edudel.nic.in, we are able to see the Vacancy in each stage , but they are only admitting the kids at Nursery by Saying the age to be 3+ on 31.03.2014 but not cleared that what is the Maximum Limit, than what is all this ? JUST TO MISGUIDE THE PARENTS OR WHAT ????????????????

Thanks Drigpal Rai

I am worried about changing guidelines. At the same time, i also feel that schools do deserve some autonomy in deciding the admissions. They are after all private unaided profit seeking institutions, much like any other business (Restaurants, Shops etc.). Govt does not control these businesses in deciding which clients they should accept.

Govt may have granted them land at reduced rates, and are contractually bound to admit 20% EWS students. They also need to make profit. They decide fees at their own discretion. It is eventually a demand supply chain. Schools will continue to charge high fees and donations as long as there is still a strong demand from parents.
