@Ms Meenakshi Verma........ same problem we are facing too. Looks like second boy child is having tough time as compared to first girl child. We have not been able to secure any seat in any of the schools. We were expecting that sibling criteria will help us out but v stand nowhere as school has kept low points for sibling. This point system is killing us all. If v take a look on any list of nursery school admissions, only siblings alongwith alumnis are getting admissions in the school, rest of us stand nowhere........ I really dont know what to do, where to go, whom to approach..... feel really helpless........ HOPE GOD IS LISTENING........
Delhi Government is mainly responsible for the dilapidated condition of the government schools. Delhi Government is responsible for not ensuring each neighbourhood has enough "good" schools. Yes, "good" is the word. The so called "good" schools in Delhi impart basic education, nothing special, and even that is considered a luxury in this city.
Ms. Natasha Kochhar's understanding of a capitalist society amuses me. She is equating a capitalist society to a jungle raj in which the high and mighty has the first right to the pie.
Ms. Kochhar isn't it enough that students in India have to compete for university seats in a dog eat dog fashion? Should that logic be applied to basic education as well?
And are you saying the only way schools can make money or sustain themselves is by taking donations? Well, I think, schools take donations for their greed, not for their need.

You taking about ashok agarwal he has joined kejriwal as a senior member. Mr Vohra is the only person fighting for parents cause and not entering in politics. i read that 13-14 people took number to complaint against amity few days back but only 2 called. all of you depend for him . why don't you fight your own battle
why he is featured in magazine of level of wall street journal.
Sumitji's always advocate centralized point system on Tv Channels you can see the link posted on top of center with Rajdeep Sardesai and his ideology does not match with Mr Agarwal who just want lottery to satisfy his ego if you saw last Zee business or Ndtv show where both were there.
I think that only points should be based on Distance, 0-1, 1-2, 2-3 and so on. With this siblings should be given some preference. Centralizing form process would help to remove duplication of work for parents and reduce frauds as parents would have to fill correct information. Further to reduce fraud by parents to shift residence etc. preference should be given to people staying longer in the vicinity and once parents change the residence say go beyond 10 km and have schools nearby new residence and school has application for new admission, school should ask parents to shift to other nearby school. There are people with switching of jobs but this is not necessary that all people who switch the jobs would also switch their residence. Overall we need to device a system where our children need to travel as less as possible.
The Hearing in HC is now postponed to tomorrow. News flashing on IBN7.
YES Amar , you are right
@Natasha,All school will give preference to sibling we all know but giving 5 points to 1st child is not acceptable to others. we also agree that siblings should get preference.as very tough for parents to send kids in two schools.
THAN WHY NOT DEVICE A MECHANISM THROUGH CENTRALISED ADMISSION SYSTEM.IN WHICH NO ONE IS LEFT WITHOUT ADMISSION .
if we keep reserving seats for sibling alumini ews girl child then i think very less wud be left for general public
No Mention in even in Pronouncement of Judgment on 12.02.2013
