Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details
Hi,
My kid is mid May born (2013) which makes him ineligible to apply for nursery admisisons in Delhi next year and I guess in most parts of NCR too. I saw a previous post in a similar issue. Is there any way out as the child loses almost 1 year in such cases. I am amazed we have a single day cutoff .. logically it should be spread over six months to make it equitable.
Also wanted to understand. Some schools have LKG and UKG instead of KG after nursery which could reallly mean a problem for my kid as he will then be 17 when he starts 10th. Since there is so much lack of standard information on school's own sites and even a broad school info sites, I can't even make out which are the good schools where after losing 1 year in nursery the kid can make up with a single KG class.
Also I feel we should have a user generated list of good schools to attend in terms of performance. Maybe I need to explore this site more closely to get that.
Moreover, I saw there was some cases going on to scrap the over dependence on points system for nursery admission. Heavily loaded against people not staying close to a good school. Is there any clarity on this? Need to plan a school or maybe even my residence ahead in keeping with that.
Regards,
Vivek
