Who's being selfish here?? Parents of 3 who wants to look at there own comfort!!
I read here lets forma group coz of most of the parents are protesting in favor of alumni/sibling points.. it means these guys will grab majority of seats! again my question is where will 70 pointers go!!
There should be one single draw of all the applications! sorry but people with alumni and sibling points are not supposed to be privileged! Be COMMON MAN!
The hearing is at very critical point. Pls wait n watch
Dear Mr. Vohra / Sakshi
As I have gone through your comments posted, I am able to understand the decision for which all of us are waiting for is of a Single bench judge and will not be Final.
Final judgement will be given by DB(Double bench ) court.
Please confirm have I understood correctly or not.
@ Manoj, don't you think instead of engaging an expensive lawyer, it might be better to engage best qualified kindergarten faculty, hire a small bldg next to a govt aided pvt school (so that there is access to the playground), and set up your own dedicated kindergarten with like minded individuals. I mean Nehru etc also received private education, and look where they ended up.
We have capping on reservation in higher education but no capping on Alumni/Siblings seats in nursery admission!! Continue like this and in next 10 years, all schools will admit only alumni & siblings.
@ shikha what does this withdraw means are the points scrapped and new guidelines or what pls elobrate
Just to lighten the mood :-)
4 baj gaye lekin hearing abhi baki hai,
parents hai naraaz lekin PIL abhi baki hai.
I think HC asked Lawyer to withdraw Alumni/Sibling case.

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Friday further extended stay on the nursery admission process and fresh draw of lots in the capital's schools till April 2.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice B.D. Ahmed and Justice Sidharth Mridul also declined to entertain a petition filed by a set of parents seeking to scrap the alumni and sibling categories.
The bench allowed petitioners to withdraw the plea and approach the single judge which was hearing the main case filed challenging the lt governor's notification.
After the court refused to entertain the plea seeking scrapping both the categories, the five and 20 points under alumni and sibling sections will be retained this academic year.
The court's order came after the education department submitted data which showed that a majority of the children admitted in the first draw of lots belonged to 70 pointers who came under the neighbourhood criteria.
Senior advocate Nidhesh Gupta, who is representing another group of parents, said that the alumni and sibling points were a valid classification which has been recognized the world over.
The court is adjudicating the contentious issue of whether a fresh draw of lottery was necessary after the scrapping of the inter-state transfer points on Feb 27.
At present, 95-point system is followed for admissions -- 70 points are allocated to neighbourhood criteria, 20 to sibling and five under alumni category.
