Sakshi , Please could you update us in the evening once you have the confirmed new on today's verdict .... there are so many comments to go though :)
What is the point in cribbing... who started all this utter nonsense... Parents only... (1) misuse of Transfer points... a fraud committed by parents in beginning of their child's student life.....(2) PIL on PIL... when court had given a verdict on cancellation of transfer points then why a PIL was filed ......(3) Think what next... if court orders first draw was valid then parents whose kids got selected in second draw will crib and if court orders second draw was valid then parents whose kids got selected in first draw will crib... this is a never ending situation all self created by many parents, some of whom might be even part of this group.... Now be ready for another draw of lots to end all confusion.... or maybe even restart of entire admission process afresh.... it might happen that applications have to be filed again.... All the best to all of us and our kids.....really hope such kind of blunder never happens again...
AS PER COMMUNICATEDTO ME BY OUR TEAM MEMBERS IN COURT .. ON BASIS OF DATA GIVEN BY DOE ,THE CASE AGAINST SIBLING /ALUMNI WERE WITHDRAWN.
WAITING FOR DETAILED REPORT .
Mahavir - "selected in lottery" means what?
Schools ki Mehanat to Bach gai... Hum sabki bhale badh gai ho..
hey here is onemore thing that can happen,,,,, such parents can go to supreme court who will nt be satisfied by the verdict of high court
Here is my understanding - Because of the over smartness of Sudhanshu Jain, bulk of the time was used discussing Alumni/Sibling and no time was left to discuss lottery for 70 pointers. And hence we are all left in the lurch. Aur dikhao hoshiyari
Suneet, That they will decide on 2nd APR (Wed)
Yes Mahavir jeee

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Friday further extended stay on the nursery admission process and fresh draw of lots in the capital's schools till April 2.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice B.D. Ahmed and Justice Sidharth Mridul also declined to entertain a petition filed by a set of parents seeking to scrap the alumni and sibling categories.
The bench allowed petitioners to withdraw the plea and approach the single judge which was hearing the main case filed challenging the lt governor's notification.
After the court refused to entertain the plea seeking scrapping both the categories, the five and 20 points under alumni and sibling sections will be retained this academic year.
The court's order came after the education department submitted data which showed that a majority of the children admitted in the first draw of lots belonged to 70 pointers who came under the neighbourhood criteria.
Senior advocate Nidhesh Gupta, who is representing another group of parents, said that the alumni and sibling points were a valid classification which has been recognized the world over.
The court is adjudicating the contentious issue of whether a fresh draw of lottery was necessary after the scrapping of the inter-state transfer points on Feb 27.
At present, 95-point system is followed for admissions -- 70 points are allocated to neighbourhood criteria, 20 to sibling and five under alumni category.
