After High Court Order of scrapping 5 point which are to be given for interstate transfer, Neo Convent School , Paschim Vihar had displayed the list & doing admission. My wife went there for confirming the 70 pointers redraw but they said that in their school , admissions are closed.

They rigidly saying that if you want to do complaint , then you are free to do that. I can not understand that there is no value of the verdict of High Court. Neo convent school did all the formality as per the Guidelines , but noe their staff is denying for the admission.

pl. look into the matter & take some serious step in to it.

Hi Shikha,

I am sure you must be amongst one of the lucky one who are enjoying benefits of Alumni or Sibling. I completely agree with Anubhuti views.

Shikha-

A) We are  NOT asking for any new criteria ... The 5 points that were eliminated for transfer criteria are NOT changed to first child etc.So NO additional documentation required tobe submitted . All we are asking for is CAPPING of Alumni and Sibling criteria...so that each school has x% of sibling , x%of alumni , atleast x%ofgirlchild , x%of ews , x% of staff quota etc ...so that every onehas a fair share of the pie . Right now the situation is that in a number of older schools alumni and  sibling form a large part of the selected population...and the sitauation wiill not improve inthe coming years . If I have studied at IIMor AIIMS , does my child have a first right to a seat at IIM?

B) It is never too late ... even if the session gets delayed by a few weeks ...may be tilljuly ... what is the harm? This is only NURSERY ...with two months of summer vacation . Isnt it a better to fight , wait and get a better/ fairer  policy  than to accept an unjust policy ?Again, choices may differ individual to individual .. and I chose to fight for my child's rights.

C) Am sure you were joking about going school to school and checking the documents ... so i will just let that pass ...

@Shikha it seems its easy for u to say such things....Perhaps u must got through the school.

Thats Why you are not able to understand the plight of the parents whose children have got through single school. And mind we not talking about any top 5-6 schools only..

Thanks Anubhuti for enlighten me. Then, in such scenario instead of NOW changing the criteria, when we r in first week of Mar, we shud show our power by going to schools & scrutiny each & every application (transfer/sibling/alumni) then, see how many genuine cases would come out !! Changing the criteria's shud not be the solution, all forged cases shud be exposed & penalized. That would be the democratic power.

My only point of raising is lets ease the process & get it over at the earliest. Adding criteria for first child means schools will have to go thru again 3-4K applications which is time consuming. And if u talk to present the affidavit for first child, how could u say that affidavits cannot be prepared false.

Shikha-I definitely wasn't sleeping when the guidelines were announced( unless they were announced middle of the night ...hahahha...just kidding ) . We could have filed a case only when the results came out ...that was the data ...should we havejust contested a theoretical policy ?The Govt also did not realise the enormity of the error they had committed by devising a half baked policy . Also, they have not done me a favour by scrapping it , they were directed to do so by the Hon'ble HC as the court agreed with our viewpoint that transfer criteria was illogical and had been grossly misused. Further, let me enlighten you that I do not have the authority to make any guidelines . In the same writ petition we had requested the capping of Alumni and sibling criteria ...it was part of the same writ and not some new demand. The court had , as part of the order ,directed us tomake a representation to the DoE  on that demand .which we did on Monday ie March 3rd . DoE reply is expected anytime now . Also ,I  DO NOT agree that "all schools are good ".  I,as a citizen and individual, have a right to exercise my choice .All we are asking for is a fair chance for everyone in lottery .  Why is it wrong to talk about getting a level playing field intop5-6 schools. Wake up Shikha -we are in a democray ...not an autocracy where we remain silent recipients of any law or policy that is thrown at us .It is another matter that some may choose to exercise that ,some may not .

@ Anubhuti - Was you sleeping at the time when first guidelines were announced. Now  you want to make this as a mission. The government has given a chance by giving a finger of scrapping of transfer points, & now U want to hold the arm by making ur own guidelines. All schools are good it depends how much time u devote to ur child. Lets respect the guidelines & we all will try our luck.

My Dear Friends, I think now everyone want to run country without Government. We all have forget the meaning of court & government. The point system is made so that the schools will not play & earn money. We shud respectably accept the judgement. Going thru series of comments, people r only & only talking of few 5-6 schools. Pls there r thousands of schools. Lets all try our luck & if someone will come out with anything going wrong in schools, let come up with that
