Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools

The Circus started in the month of December. My aim was nothing below DPS Dwarka. But soon things started to look clearer. I realized that if you are not an alumni or sibling, you cannot enter this fort.
Now my only priorities were decent 4/5 acre campus non-religious co-ed school with no donation. Reason:
1. Why big campus?
Not only because of more facilities & playground, but also because all 2 acres schools in Dwarka are coupled together (I think DDA carved 2 out of one site). I stay in Sec 22 opp. Paramount and feel pity for DIS kids as Paramount plays very loud bollywood music (even yo yo honey singh) every second day. Basically, the other school students get disturbed when one school has an event. So that rules out IP, Sachdeva, SVIS, NBS, IHS etc.

2. Non-religious co-ed
That rules out BGS, MCS, St. Thomas, St. Mary, QVS.

3. Why no donation?
It is not because I can't pay but because my principles don't allow such a start for my child's future. So that part rules out Basava, VIS for me.

GD Goenka and ITL are out of my budget.

Now, I am left with NKB, Modern Convent, RD Rajpal, and Bal Bharti.

Please help me prioritise above four schools. Thanks.

Excellent thoughts. I would go for 1 bal bharti. 2 Nkb 3 Mcs. Cant say anthing abt rd because bit costly for me
Thanks Sawdeep... Suppose you could afford RDR, where would you have placed it?

@Niti

Very nicely put. I was unaware of this 2/2 acre thing. I have to choose for my daughter between SVIS, R D Rajpal and Ave Maria. This has added more confusion to my decision.

@Pankaj
Basically some have been already built like Paramount/DIS, IP/SRWS, SVIS/Sachdeva, etc.
Some are under construction like Mount Carmel/Govt. School, etc.
And rest have vacant school plots adjacent which would be built in coming years.

@ Pankaj

SVIS better choice.

Bal Bharti>NKB> Modern>RD Rajpal (best modern infrastructure)

Thanks Ms Lathaa...
Latha ji,
Would you suggest waiting for BBPS & NKB as mine is a first born girl child or reserve a seat at Modern?
@ niti
I think you wanted to write 'Religious schools' in place of 'Non-religious schools' ie.BGS, MCS, St. Thomas, St. Mary, QVS.

I think your thoughts are misplaced regarding these schools as none of them is teaching something inappropriate and the fact is that all of them are run by old and reputed trusts/NGO having no religious/political agenda/affiliation and in the service of the society for a long time.

All of them follow the same curriculum as prescribed by CBSE/ISCE and some are imparting high quality education at a very reasonable fee in the times of so called 'International/World Schools' which are out of reach to many parents.

If you find something notorious about these schools, write on this forum otherwise please don't misguide/influence the parents at this juncture when admissions are going on.

@Vipin This was the only part where I did not share my experience. Now that you have asked, here is my reason for the same. I am a convent educated girl from one of the topmost schools of Delhi. I being a non Christian always felt non associated during compulsary bible assemblies and classes. I think same would be the case if you ask some Christian to compulsorily sit in a pooja or hawan. That is my experience.
If parents feel that religious schools are more inclusive and non-orthodox nowadays, that is a welcome change.
Only girl or boy school are also old-thought schools acc. to me.
@ niti
Yes I agree that some parents these days don't prefer convent schools or rather I should say religious school, however it was not the case some decades ago.

But about one school,I would like to mention here, that is Mothers International, aurobindo Marg. It has been one of the most sought after schools in Delhi for decades and now also and consistently performed better in every field than its contemporaries. Many think this school as 'temple of learning'and it teaches Aurobindo's philosophy along with curriculum. Its former principal Mahrukh Singh once said that "We believe in addressing the soul". Here lies the difference between its other competitors like DPS,Rk puram, Sanskriti or Vasant valley of that area.
So its upto the parents whether their basic philosophy matches with the school or not.

But the schools in Dwarka, which you mentioned, are neither religious nor Convent.

Mount carmel and St. Mary are not convent(names might suggests so)but are family-run schools with no affiliation to church or mission. Both impart good secular education with no agenda.

BGS is run by a Bangalore based trust which runs Engineering College, Medical Colleges, Hospitals, nursing Schools, polytechnic, schools etc in Sothern India, with a moto to serve without any agenda. BGS school, Dwarka is also run by the same trust without any religious discourse or agenda. It is same as other conventional schools like DPS, BalBharti etc.

St Thomas, Karol Bagh which is a convent girl school but in Dwarka ,its franchisee (not core school)has different management all together with no religious injunctions or agenda.

Dwarka has only one convent school in Sector 11 ie. St. Gregorious school.

Yes I agree with you with the thought that only girl or boy school are old-thought schools.

That is a very good insight Mr Vipin... I just personally favour an open-minded culture with religious freedom and think that education and religion should not be clubbed like investment and insurance. It is a very sensitive topic and discussion can go on forever. Therefore, I think we should close the discussion right here. Good day and thanks again for coming out with insights.
