Thanks a lot Paramita.
This afternoon got a call from Indian Heights School (Dwarka) saying my kid has been selected and I can come for admission.
I was like surprised. I did not attend the draw but I did go to check the list of selected students and my kid's name was not there. When I asked why the name was not in the list or if it was in the waiting list, I was told that there were some mistakes in the First list and same has been corrected and I can come any day until Jan 29th.
Don't know but I feel something is not OK here. Has anyone else too got similar call? Any idea about this school - Good, Bad, OK, Moderate????
Yeah! How do you know? Do you have a list or something?
HAHA....Yeah...75 pointer in BGS ... Hundreds of them vying for a few odd seats. I have actually lost interest in this admission process now.
By the way someone told me Indian Heights is asking for 75000 in the beginning. Do you have any idea?
@Shashank
My kid is selected in Maxfort as well as Indian Heights. Any ideas which one is better?
I have been to Maxfort already twice but they never let me take tour of school. Today I decided to visit Indian Heights to understand what is going on. Just came back from there and here is what I have to say.
I don't know much about academics in both schools but the visible difference I saw was in the ambience of two schools as well as the play area. I found Indian Heights better in both these departments. But I guess someone whose kid is studying in Indian Heights can comment better on this school in every aspect.
At the reception of the school there was no mad rush like and then I was asked if I would like to take a tour of the school. Then I was also given fee structure details. I did a comparison of the school fee and charges and it is given below. During school tour I did notice there are many activities for the kids so I would say I was impressed.
Here is the fee comparison of Maxfort vs Indian Heights. Please note, Indian Heights is charging around 75000 that includes whatever is given in GREEN + one month Tuition fee + Uniform/Stationary Charges. In Maxfort Uniform and stationary charges would be extra and on conservative basis I have given it as 2500 (although I expect this to be much more than this).
Maxfort - Last day of fee submission 24th Jan
Indian Heights - Last day of fee submission 29th Jan
I have mentioned it multiple times earlier to get perspective of more and more parents so many people might have seen it already. But I guess I would take perspective of another parent like you too and may be others. My situation is that I am in Dwarka for only a year and next year (i.e. next academic session) I will most certainly be moving to Noida. So I am confused if I should admit my kid to Mainstream school and pay too much fee OR should I stick to playschool that has nursery option. The only worry I have is what if the school where I would admit my kid in Noida doesn't give us preference just because of nursery done from playschool. So, I am confused what to do. Fee difference in Play school and Mainstream school is around 1 Lakh or more on annual basis. So I don't know if I should save this 1 Lakh and use it as donation etc in Noida next year or should I go ahead and go to mainstream school like Indian Heights. Any suggestions are welcome.
