Hello Jitin sir...i am not getting any feedback for KPS. Whatever i have listen are in negative site. At present we have not got call from any school in south delhi, although we have applied in 22 schools.Today we went in KPS and they have given us seat. now what to do?

Jayamanti, I am another parent who joined this forum for my wards admission and just like you only so my suggestion would be very basic as a parent.

All i have heard about KPS on this forum is negative. Even I myself reside in South Delhi but never filled a form for KPS.

But again two important questions are open in your case

1) Whether you have any other school for which you can try and secure a seat?

2) Whether you yourself liked the school when you went to visit it? Have you got any reviews from Parents whose kid are studying in the school?

We are trying in two school for mang. seat.but cant confirm whether we get or not as every where there r so many parents at same request.regarding kps, We r living here since last four year only...so no such review regarding schools. my husband;s friend,s daughter studying in the school n they said it ok.but from other i m getting negative views. exactly in what sense that i dont know. they are saying the environment is not good. Do you have any such review regarding the school.

No Jayamanti, I would not be able to comment on the school. None of my friends or close have kids studying in the school.

What i can recommend then is to go to the school during the closing time and talk to some parents coming to pick kids and take a review.

@ Dear Jayamanti> I think as of now, u should just block the seat, so that 1 year of ur child is not wasted. And Next year onwards, keep on trying for other schools. No one is stopping you from doing that. If u' ve filled in the forms of some of the schools, and ur child's name is shortlisted, go ahead. This age ( for child) is not the age of being influenced by your peer group members. May be ur luck will favour next time. We are not even able to acquire 1 seat for our child. We know how it is. But im sure out of 14 schools, 2 were not of my interest, but if we'll be able to get through them, I'll definitely block the seat.

I blocked 2 seats for my dauther 1 is in new era and 2nd in GD salwan but still I am not satisfied with both schools.

@ Perminder Kaur, Try also for GHPS Vasant Vihar as a fall back option.

@ Dear Nripinder> I was thinking of doing. Although I'm myself an alumni of GHPS but India Gate. But have not even filled in the form & got this feedback that situation over there in that particular branch is little tight. Please do share ur views/ feedback. what can be done. Now im sort of interested in that school, but have lost half the battle by not filling in the form also.

Dear Perminder, Don't lose heart. Immediately apply in writing to both the GHPS's India Gate & Vasant Vihar. Take one application in person and send another application by speed post and retain the receipt. Talk to the school authorities, they have to give you preference. They cannot reject your application on the ground that you didn't apply earlier. Also try through the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. If the GHPS Schools are not co-operative, you can complain to Dr. Ajaib Singh, Member National Minorities Commission Govt. of India- Tel-24617020, email- ajaibsingh.ncm@nic.in, Office- Lok Nayak Bhawan (5th Floor) Khan Market, New Delhi-110003. The two GHPS's admitted Nursery students in mid Jan itself. Some nursery seats may be vacant as students move to schools closer to their home. You may also consider the other GHPS's to avoid losing a year, and shift to another school next year if you want.
