School helper held for molesting girl
NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man, who worked as a helper in Presidium School in Dwarka Sector 16-B, was on Wednesday arrested for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl studying in the same school.
Kamlesh allegedly molested the victim on several occasions when she would go to the bathroom, said police. The victim's family protested against the school authorities after Kamlesh's dismissal was delayed by a day and he was later released on bail on Thursday.
According to the family, the child on Tuesday complained she was repeatedly being molested by a cleaner. Shocked, her parents complained to the school and once the child identified the accused, he was asked to leave. "It takes some time for processing the papers. So technically, Kamlesh was removed on Wednesday. Men are not allowed to enter girls bathrooms in our school,'' explained Sarita Syal, the school PRO.
The parents, who were unable for comment, pressed molestation charges against the accused in Dwarka (north) police station on Wednesday after which Kamlesh was arrested. The girl's parents protested after Kamlesh got bail on Thursday. A senior police officer explained, "It is a bailable offence. Even if the parents agitate against the release there is nothing we can do.''
The victim is a resident of Dwarka Sector 11. Kamlesh stays in Nangloi in west Delhi and is unmarried, said police. He had reportedly worked in the school for two and a half years.

the irony is that the whole trauma is for the girl and her parents and the accused is out and repeats all this becoz this is a bailable offence, THANX TO INDIAN LAW.

Yes we can raise this issue but no one from media is going to raise this issue as it already has been reported in
of leading newspaper....We have to make our kids differentiate between good touch and bad touch and we have be
their friend so that they can share day to day activities

As Neha says, I think we have to be alert at all times to be able to recognize any change in the child's behavior. A big warning sign would be the child refusing to go to school. Small children also act out at home what they do in school. Playing teacher is a favorite game, specially with girls. I pick up a lot of clues about what happens in my daughter's playgroup and how the teachers and helpers talk and behave, this way.

You people are right but we will notice these changes in kid once something wrong has happened to him/her. We should somehow try to prevent these things but educating the child about good and bad touch.

Its really shocking!! U guys r right . Some serious actions should be taken. I have two daughters n their safety is a big challenge for me. You can't keep eye on them all the day . One side you have to make them more independent n on the other side you cant leave them alone. Its risky to send them school with cabs drivers n also with personal drivers .what to do ??? u know i always consider a point during admission that is distance . My husband prefers school which is near to our house.
Mr vohra , pl. take some action on this. This is a major issue ...

yes you are right even i have daughter and i am also very worried. i am not working inspite of professional qualification just bcoz i cant trust maids at home and i have no other support. but i know that's not a solution. we have to fight strong that these type of ppl get punished.
pl mr Sumit try to come up with some action which we can take against the school bcoz at last its school and trustees responsibility to give save environment to kids. we pay them such high admission fees for not there enjoyment but for our kids that they be provided best facilities and be safe.
try to have discussion on this either on newspaper or news channel...
when all india ppl can stand up for jassica lal , priyadarshinai other cases cant we all stand up and fight for justice for innocent children and at last they are future of this country. ........

presidium is a money making machine, there main aim is to attract parents by their attractive classes, by attractive teachers, by attractive prospectus, by attractive photo album otherwise this school is bull shit totally
i sent my daughter fro three days in this school and luckily i got a chance to enter classes during school hours, by seeing the whole atmosphere inside i decided to quit my daughter witout caring the high fees i deposit.
thy have young girls as teacher dont have any dignity of teachers.
Please parents, i request u all wheteher u have a boy or girl raise ur voice against these pathetic acts and while taking admission to new school beside teacher student ratio, see this basic things also.

Lack of proper reporting due to fear created by the culprit leads to increase in child abuse. When most of us can teach a 3 years old child M for mouth, N for nose, H for head etc. then why not the difference between GOOD TOUCH & BAD TOUCH. BE FRIENDLY TO YOUR CHILD. SPECIALLY MOTHERS. becuz, dharti par sabse accha aur surakshit sthan.... Maa ki Gaud. he. Isliye bacchon ke man se sabse pehle darr ko nikalein. Unse kahiye, "mein hoon na". Beta mujhe bata aaj tum itne dare huwe ya udas kyon ho?
Show and explain your kids some phyiological sketches with special reference to Bad Touch, impart some sort of sex education. Teach them to maintain gap and not to take choclates etc from strangers and male counter-parts, avoid use of toilets with them, do not obey them regarding your under-garments, not to stand or wait alone in a lonely or confined place. Try to be in public view. Teach your ward to report bad touch immediately to the one you are friendly with and to your parents. Explain tendency of cab drivers on various aspects like diversion of route, use of unsocial words etc. Ifyou feel uncomfortable in the cab, Shout for help ..bachaoo..bachaoo.. Try to release yourself from the clutches of culprit and take help from nearby persons. Inform your parents. There may be many other techniques also.
