The DOE link provided on the blog is not working. Could you provide any official link stating how the distance to the school (aerial or driving) should be calculated?

It is school specific

Some schools take bus route or aerial or hrough road in google maps

DOE s/w was for LG guidelines when schools did not have autonomy was valid
