Question

Some schools are devising different ways and means to grab the hard earned money of the parents in the name of admission of their ward. I would like to share my experience with all of you.

One of the leading prominent school having several branches has been offering admission and the fees includes compulsory one time “Sovenier Subscription Charges (SSC) amounting Rs. 20,000/-” (sommerville school, Vasundhara Enclavve). This is a very hefty amount which I have to pay if I have to enrol my child in that school. In pretext of SSC, they will give us subscription of a quarterly magazine. Without considering SSC, the school authorities are claiming that there fees are reasonable and at par with other schools.

This amount has to be paid for each child regardless of the number of children admitted from the same parents. I have paid this amount at the time of admission of my first daughter and now I need to pay another for my second daughter. Now I will get two magazine which is of no use of mine.
Even I faced it in ITL public school . they charged Rs.25000/- on cash no receipt nothing of this amount.

And chaging 7500/- par year to renew admission.
Mr Lovely the age criteria should be kept same but change the point system because of that many kids are not getting admission.admission procedure should be kept on interaction basis for parent as well as children
Mr Lovely Age criteria for nursery admission you can keep the same but change the point system as of that many children are not getting admission.it should be kept on interaction basis for parents as well as children
point system is ok but sibling preference should also be there as it creates problem to parents is they have to handle 2 school at a time.
I agree Rekha !!
