according to me, 4, 4+ is the right age for a child to take admission into school. 3/3+ is too small an age for a child to get into school, bcoz he/she may be intelligent but a strong foundation is very necessary for a child's future which is only possible in the play school, prep school
i think the age should be 4+, as a three year old kid is too small to take care of himself, and we have to pressurize the ward to get up early in the morning, making him do his home work, all this creates too much pressure in his mind and starts disliking the whole idea of going to school. plus there are many other reasons parents have given above.
I agree with Mr. Devendra Kr. Malhotra, the age should be 4 yrs for nursery but after completion of nursery next class will be first not k.g.

for god sake please have some mercy on these little kinds, please let them grow normal and understand the nature and love, they are our kids not machine which we get from the market and except the best services. please this is my request to Mr. vohra change the age criteria from 3+ to 4+ so that they grow as nature wants them to grow,
4+ should be the perfect age for nursery admission
In my view, 3 years is okay. Changing from 3 to 4 does not carry much sense as long as other front end cut-off age(s) remain unchanged, viz., age criteria for competitive exams, age criteria for apperaing in IAS exam and even retirement age criteria of 60 years from Govt. Jobs. Moreover, when age criteria is 3 then also kids are apperaing with age between 3 to 4. Like kid born on 1/2 nd April, will be eligible for nursery admission when she / he is 3 years, 11months & some odd days.
If it is changed to 4 then eligibility will fall between 4-5 years on the same logic
Mr ANil IAS Govt Jobs, retirement..... Best of luck i wish ur child do achieve all that u wish him to be. But i do pitty ur baby...
In this 21st century kids are so smart at 3 than the earlier days. without going play school they know better than we at their age. they have a very good mpact on their mind of advenced technology. So 3+ is justifyable as 1 yr earlier they will get all chances.
Dear Mr.Vohra!
The law should atleast ensure that parents who want their ward to start Nursery at 4+ should not be told that their child is 'overage'! The upper limit should be broad enough to accommodate this.
Exactly no one should be forced to follow that 3-4 fixed criteria
It should be 4 not 3 at any cost.............. Play school is a good option for the kid to learn and play without an extra burden to them, so early. The schools should take admission at the age of four in nursery and after four it should be First class and this should be followed by all the schools strictly.
what is the burden??? playschools are also a burden they have there compeitions, writing work and so on..that doesnt put a burden on them...schools are also going to be the same !!!
