WHAT SHOULD BE THE PROCESS FOR NURSERY ADMISSIONS IN DELHI AND NCR--- POINT SYSTEM, DRAW OF LOTS ,SCREENING or SOMETHING ELSE, ALSO WHAT SHOULD BE THE AGE CRITERIA ?GIVE YOUR OPINION
What are your views on this new Draw of lots Process ?
What could be the Nursery Admission Process acceptable to all ?
We would like your opinion to raise this issue to higher level we feel that it is the parents community who should also be the part of decision making process !!

I agree with Hena that each school opt and decide their direction and accordingly like to take kids. One school may prefer to take kids of majorly businessmen as they want to be branded as luxury school while other may want to take kids of professionaly qualified parents due to some other reason of its own.
If we say that everybody shuld get equal chance to get admission in any school then if due to luck in lottery system your kid has got admission in a school which majorly has kids of business family, will you & your kid able to adjust in that peer environment. Its very important that we answer to ourselves the questions raised by Hena above. I think its important that school philosophy needs to match with that of ours.
I agree with Hena that professionals will prefer that school that prefers professionals and would prefer people with the same values to be attending that school. By saying this we are not being biased to anyone but it is getting to a school where values of school and values of maximum parents matches for betterment of everybody. And I think this lead to screening by school.

The process should be clear and transparent to the parents by school.
Point wise list should be listed on the site as well as the interaction details.
Draw system is only introduced to start the corruption.
This should be escalated to supreem court for immediate stay and solution.

I agree no transparency, everything left to luck and filling the mgmt mouth with huge sums of money if any seats are left

The Government should open enough schools to accommodate the ever growing demand and then implement this system. The only criteria for nursery admissions should be distance from schools as it is very important in case of emergency. No interviews should be conducted for parents or children.
Draw would leave everything on luck and selling of unutilised seats definitely not the best criteria for admissions

Dear All,
Can anyone suggest me about the school which imparts professional education from the entry level class in Delhi or
NCR? I will go with the quality of faculty and infrastructure available in a school. I would prefer Sriram College of Commerce over others for higher education if my ward is interested to pursue his/her career in commerce. Similarly, AFMC, Pune for Science, IITs for engineering, Doon for Arts. However, it is not easy to forecast about their standard and reputation after 12 years of schooling. 10 years schooling should be focussed on all round development and remainjing 2 years schooling on professional studies.

If lottery system is not acceptable to all
Then
I WILL ADVOCATE CENTRALISED ADMISSION PROCESS IN WHICH ALL THE SCHOOLS HAVE SAME POINT SYSTEM
and parents can fill some x NUMBER ( say 10 number of forms) atmost
First born and sibling should have equal points
IN SHORT ALL SCHOOLS SHOULD HAVE SAME FORM AND PROCESS SHOULD BE DONE BY INDEPENDENT AGENCY
PARENTS PLEASE TELL ME PROS /CONS OF THIS PROCESS (JUST A SUGGESTION ) !!

This is how counseling is done for say B.Tech admissions.
BUT, all schools here are not homogeneous. EACH has a DIFFERENT criteria. Some excel in acad, some say extracurricular, some say holistic approach.
And this would again judge the kids as well as the parents, which is what the Court is trying to avoid.
Question : How to select the candidates without interactions?? Kya criteria rakha jaye??
