But then people are over-reacting about the guidelines. Could somebody please explain me the difference it makes, if guidelines are released today or a week later. End of the day admissions are going to start on 15th Dec.. isn't it. Why are we day-dreaming constantly. In fact we are living the idea what Kashish mentioned.... " they think about the parents as if we dont have anything else to bother about except our child admission. " Aren't we doing the same?? We should reserve our energies, to shout when the guidelines are out and 'if' they create a chaos/confusion.
Without that information, it's nothing but getting into a mob frenzy... stroking each other's feelings..
@ Kapil Your point is valid but if only neibourhood is the criteria and schools accepts only passport and voters id card what will happen to parents staying on rent(how they will arrange for docs in 5-10 days) because then it will be very strict scrutiny of resi proof
if sibling criteria is also removed then how parents will decide new strategy in 5-10 days
parents who dont have name printed on birth certificate (DPS mathura road asks for it every year) how they will manage as mcd takes 15-20 days in routine etc etc
Totally agree with you... It's not only schools that need ample time (for changing forms/prospectus/updating websites, etc) but parents too (for understanding new rules, checking with schools if any criteria is left for schools to decide, getting relevant documents in time, etc.)
As long as the new guidelines do not have subjectivity, it should be fine. The worst trap for parents would be to challenge the grounds of refusal if its open to interpretations. RTE seems to be a good word...implementation still remains the key.
It seems they never know that the admission process will be started from dec.every year ....now they are saying Schools have ample time ! But what about the parents who have to rush for admission process in various schools with their hectic schedules, obviously one can not take a long vacation from his/her profession......
@ shashikant chk da forum....its out for more than 1 month....and i've already deposited da form there...they include neighbourhood points, sibling points, first child point and parents education point.....
Why does not the government have a uniform policy of education through out India. Why have the tussle of september october november december fight. Parents are hassled lot. They do not know which way to go, whom to follow, what to follow and how to go about it. Now we are it seems not even clear as to the guidance policy is for Delhi schools alone or NCR is covered too. There are schools coming up everywhere, mediocore teachers who are hired on a probation basis who are again under paid, the curriculum is divided ICSE, CBSE, new policy declarations which half the schools follow religiously and half flaunt their own
Does it not look like the education system is too old and outdated and we urgently need to look into the matters or is school another form of minting money without having to pay the taxes, which is i believe the best business these days. Have a peek at schools around you will see so much of money in school business that one wonders how many schools are mushrooming every where what with play schools and formal schools.
The government had full one year from the time the policy was being framed but i guess the lobbying party is still not satisfied probably so we are here again with the same confused state of affairs as to who, which and when are the schools going to finally come under the same umbrella of uniform education with clearly laid out policies.
but would anyone reply what is the age criteria, point systeam and all would come only to place-when we are aware what is the age criteria is it 3+ or 4+,i can not see any discussions on this and why so much time for a decision
