Dear Nazneen,

It's a very good thought you posted. Surely we can bear a little bit extra for the EWS kids. But this is not the question of bearing the education of an underprivileged kid. This is the question of unjustified fee hike that the schools will do in the name of EWS fund. If the schools are ready to show their yearly Balance Sheet, how much they are spending for those EWS kids to the parents then I think there will be many parents who will be more than happy to help the kids. But as there is no transparency on the school's side so we are forced to think like this. And as i said earlier there are many middle class parents who are already finding it hard to fund their own kid's education in pvt. schools after the last year's hike, it will be a real burden for them ( i hav seen a family who are forced to withdraw their kid for the hiked fee frm a reputed south delhi school and admit her in an avg school).

what i said was after assuming that schools are going to be transparent in thier hike and r going to charge us exactly the same ammount that will be spent on an underprivilaged kid.....and not fool us into paying extra bucks.....

@bhawana: seats going less.....absolutely valid point lady......but what i stressed upon was not that we should have no qulams about seats going less but that when the seats r gone(which probably will)  lets have no qualms about affording those kids a decent education.

P.S: in this topsy turvy economic scenario u or I can find ourselves among the 25% any good day.....lol but its true.

Nazneen

Don't teach me the lessons for life. Life is not certain for anyone, be it me or u.

I understand my duties for the nation very well and doing my own bit. How? I need not to explain this to u.

I AM TOTALLY AGAINST THIS RESERVATION AND FEES HIKE AND THE WHOLE PARENTS COMMUNITY THINKS ALIKE.

I totally agree with u Bhawna. Just for not supporting the unjustified fee hike doesn't mean we are not bothered abt the society or humanity. It's upto an individual whether to do charity or not or may be how to do it. I also help the poor kids but in my own way. The schools have money to buy expensive cars, but not for the poor kids, which eventually they want to bear us. Charity can't be compelled it's voluntary...an individuals own decision.

thanks Somali

We all are raising our voice because

------ ENACTING RTE DOES NOT MEAN EDUCATION FOR ONE AND DEPRIVING OTHER

I second Bhawna and Somali' opinion completely. We help the underprivileged people in our own capacity, so we should not be imposed with such charities!

Dr Sushma

You have a very valid point ...nothing should be forced upon !!

CM kept Blinking through out the preprations of the common wealth games,She either Remain in COMA,or she JUST Blinks.

i wonder wether i should call it an irony or a disaster?

Her husband was an IAS officer, her father used to be very close to javahar lal nehru ji.

she grew up playing with indira gandhi in teen murti bhavan.

when indira gandhi was prime minister, sheila dikshit ji was given a seat adjacent to indira gandhi ji on 26th january parade.i dont remember if this honour was given to any non political person in indian history ever, either before or after.....

moral of the story in short is,she had never faced any problem in upbringing of her kids because she was well connected....

may be this is the reason we always see her blinking, and never with angry red eyes starring any mischeif......she is indeed a skilled administrator to be chief minister of delhi, the only problem is she never took school education system seriously, had she ever started reforming our schools, she wud have finished the job till date with successful smoothering of HEADS,heading various school managments.

After all she is in power for a long time now.

Well said Sir...

no, wat d gov think abt general people, is every general catagory people is crorepati, this is d responsibility of d gov.

kya hum tax sirf isliye bharte hai ki kuch log apna swiss balance bada sake?

kisi bhi school ka form bahrne se phele koi bhi general catagory ka midle class person sabse phele free structure dekhta hai.

EWS is not our responsibility, we are paying taxes for the same. If schools are that concerned let them have a volunteer programme for parents to teach or donate... am sure all of us will be eager. This no way to extract money

@bhawna: dear why don't u cool down a little. U r taking admission pressure way too much....i applied all over noida....son made it no where....i got stressed up...but this is life (iam in no position to give lesson of life to anyone....i have got to learn  lot myself)....but we can always share our feelings because all of us are in the same boat......now lets be cool about our difference of opinion on the issue of charity and community support etc......the only reason why i am writing this reply is to tell u that at one point letting things take their course is really helpful......for once leave it all upto the ETERNAL POWER up there and let ur human nerves cool down (i did this after son's Noida disaster and iam a bilssfully relxed mother midst the admission storm......All the best for ur son
