Dear Sumit, thats good that govt kept on 3 years age criteria, but what about other major issues like that of single child (which dont qualify for sibling points), etc. Will those child be loosing ground? Whats the solution for this issue?
Hi Sumit,
thanks for your great efforts. Please tell- Does it mean that all schools will follow 3+ age criteria as on 31st March? In Noida, many schools have 3+ age criteria as on 30th Sept, so it is not clear whether this age criteria will be uniform across all schools or not.
Regards,
Dear Sandeep
All schools except 1-2 you can say 95% will follow 31 mar on 31mar 2011..noida has school
specific age criteria !!
Dear Sumit/Brij,
It will be good if it happens so...I believe Delhi guidelines will influence Noida schools as well to some extent....So we can keep an eye on achieving the next goal of having the same age criteria across NCR atleast by talking at different forums...by generating awareness/consensus with school authorities because it is useless to expect anything from government. Govt has passed 25% reservation for votebank into children's lifes...and increasing fees/decreasing general seats due to increasing reservation... But this much success could not be achieved without your efforts and constant media involvement...so atleat no interviews should be celebrated as first success towards better future of children.
hi sandeep,
i think for Delhi its the same..
we can not compare the age criteria of Noida,Ghaziabad,Gurgaon & Faridabad schools..as they had different criteria..for example DPS, Fr. Agnel likes of schools were taking kids 3.5 plus ..while schools like Amity, Somerville were taking 3 plus kids....
Department of Education (DOE) is a Delhi State Govt. deptt..and they have come with a uniform guideline for Delhi NCT only...NCR schools are not governed by this...so Mr.Lovely was referring to Delhi NCT schools only..
One more point as Right to Eduaction (RTE) Act 2009 is mandatory for entire India but still HRD ministry who is mandated for its implementaion pan India, has not come out with a concrete plan to implement RTE Act features.RTE Act clearly mentions that Students will go in 1st Class at age of 6 plus..that means 2 years of pre primary classes of Nursery & KG (or Prep) will be for age 4 plus &5 plus respectively...or for that way play school age will be 3 years to 4 years..
But we see different age criteria Pan India...if we go to south schools they admit students at very early age...so a uniform system has to be followed..and that's what matters with RTE...let's hope it may come true in coming future..
one year will be saved by this..:-) Thanks to all involved
Thanks Team :) :)
thats a relieving news for all parents..
thanks a lot Sakshi mam for informing us..thanks a ton Sumit sir for being voice of the parents to have clarity on age criteria..
now it will be the same as of last year i.e. 3 plus as on 31st March 2011..(.then surely schools will be taking kids from 3 years 1 day upto 4 years admitted on 1st April2011 for the new session.)
But why the distance is not the criteria...NEIGHBORHOOD is not the criteria.... has govt has gone mad... insane people.... what are they up to....
I still believe let the school handle the process, teachers/guru by virtue of their knowledge still have better system... can't trust these corrupt people
thanks
@ Puneet I Talked to few Principal s Today they are saying to wait for a day for clear guidelines
They said some schools don't have alumni as they are 10-12 years old and school have power to decide its own critera
thanks Sumit sir...we are sure you will force schools to come out clear very soon to lessen our anxiety..
