Not at all satisfied...Pls include Neighbourhood criteria as the mandatory criteria so that lil ones dont have to travel far off places to get their education...its a wastage of time...secondly, each and every school should have same point system ...last yr every school has different points on which they had selected students...so this should not be happen this yr pls...guidelines have created more problem for all parents..

@ Monika Mr Vohra first agenda is neibouhood  to be default and First child (boy/girl) only

Yes these two points are very very important.

Yes both the points are very important.. More over in any case Sibling is given a point its very very necessary that first child is given equivalent numbers for sure and should be mandatory that way, since the first child can never get Sibling point and this will be very irrational for the Child in question and will not be in compliance with RTE.

Also if there is a point for a Alumni in a particular school then parents educated outside Delhi should be given exactly same points since in this case also if both the parents are Educated from Outside Delhi they can never get a single point in any school for Alumni and again can't compete with the school offering Alumni point.

If there a competition then should be a fair one in which all of us feel that we are competing in a fair point system considering individual school point which I believe that all schools will be having very different point management for admission.

In my opinion, these should be the only two criterion? neighborhood and first child (could be boy/girl), and if other considerations have to be adhered they can follow these...

No weightage has been given to first child, nowadays the prevalent norm is one child per family, he / she will not get admission in any school, secondly the cut off dates have not been announced, they too have been left open ended, policy very vague saying process to be completed by March 31, 2010

I fully agree that nighbourhood and first child whether it is boy or girl should be the only criterion. if the kid is the first boy child he will not have a sibling so he looses points and then for the girl child he again looses points.

Mr. Vohra,

I request these two criteria should be of ultimate importance.

regards

What about the siblings?

More freedom to schools, and more trouble to parents,  Many schools don't disclose points allotted to individuals  and many schools  never had  second  list or waiting list.

1.Age criteria and no interview criteria should be same across NCR region, not just Delhi.

2. Maximum Age permissible for Nursery admission should be relaxed by 1 year, while keeping the minimum age at 3+. Because development of all kids is different. Some kids may be able to join formal schools at 3+ age, while other may join 1 year later.

3. Distance should be a criteria in point system.

 4. Sibilings should be given higher weightage, followed by first child, followed by the rest so that parents are discourgaed to send their two kids to two different schools or reserving seats in other schools.

there should be common dates for admission, like form submission, first list, second list etc.
