i don"t think there is any problem if the school is asking mobile phone number. it is for communication purpose ... i think so....

and what is "mobile hand set number" by the way????

can you clarify...

Of course, mobile number is required for communication and that information is anyhow part of all the forms as one of the mandatory fields.

However, this school is probably trying to set up its own guidelines / criteria over and above DoE guidelines. It is asking for Monthly income (which although some other schools are asking). In addition, what school is asking for is the details of mobile handset. It asks for Mobile Handset name and Model number of Handset being used by Father and Mother.

asking such details is ridiculous..

deny them....

and i think they are asking such info to know about the income strata of parents...

there are many more schools ... this school is not so sort after...

try others....
