NEW DELHI: Having lost the case on its nursery admission guidelines, AAP government is planning to file an appeal in the division bench of the high court seeking a stay on the current interim order.

Education minister Manish Sisodia said the government might also approach Supreme Court if push comes to shove. "We will approach the HC double bench. If private schools are not involved in misdoings, they must prove their transparency," he said.

Sources said the re-appeal may be filed by next week, seeking a stay on the current interim order. If the division bench stays the order, the matter will go back to being in limbo as before. However, the government plans to get a concrete decision before March 7, when the first list is expected to be released.

This a insane....we (parents) don't know what govt. want and what HC says...all we need to let this admission process go smoothly this year...all parents are in a big soup in this tussle...AAP govt. should not make further appeal to make parents life easier. They should make a concrete plan for next year admissions which will be known to all (parents/Courts/Schools) before the admission procedure start....

Gau I agree with you. There is already a lot of confusion. At this time they should stop doing all this and plan for next year's admissions.

We need solid point system and permanent also. Distance wise point system very good for childerns. Time saving money saving for all the parents and childrens . Please stand with govt. not with schools

Hi Anuj,

That is just one side of the coin. What about those parents who can't afford costly monthly house rentals and lives in comparatively cheaper locations. Don't they have right to send their kids to better schools.

seriously why DOE wants appeal are we parents a ball which can be passed towards from one court to another??? when we going to get proper guidelines. This should have been done in dec why in Jan..Is AAP thinking that accepting this HC order may make them shame

What about the future of kids getting admission this year....i support govt and they shud go to supreme court....kids shud get the admission to the school nearest to their home....whats wrong in this i dont understand
looks like u have couple of schools within 1 km ...wat abt those who done

Now again the kids living in the neighborhood of school will be forced to look for schools farther from their houses. They will be forced to travel in buses.

It's good that Govt is thinking of appealing the verdict in SC, however the change will effect next year only.

Now the govt should focus on making the system (uploading of data on DOE site) transparent no matter what the criteria the school follow.

What about those kids where we don't have good school within 3 km as well, what their faults in this or you forced us to get admission in govt schools. Why government official don't send their kids to govt school, why they are using their sources in admissions.
All rubbish they are playing with kids future. We have point systems which include benefits for neighborhood why u need another benefit, it was like we are implementing reservation for schools as well.
Why then you Cribs against reservation for other casts.
