Janak Puri doesn't have many good schools... Of the very few good schools in Janak Puri, like St Francis has their own community criteria, there distance doesn't play a role.... Janak Puri kids really have very very few schools to fight for

Some parents are saying that there should be no criteria for distance as they will not have the option to choose best schools for their Kid/s. If someone is staying where there is no good school, they will not have the option to send their kid to good school if that is far away from their locality. Any view on this please.

None of the schools in dwarka are giving 1 or 3 km advantage, pretty much everyone has made distance criteria to 6 or 10 km :(

On the contrary schools ( SVIS, DPS etc) in Dwarka are giving highest marks for closest distance ... DPS gave 40 for < 1 km,30 for 1-3 , 20 for 3 -6 ...

Not just Janak puri...kids from Tilak Nagar, Hari nagar, Ashok Nagar, Subhash Nagar n many nearby areas (no good schools in the vicinity) are facing this issue...in fact siblings points are also not helping me in this scenario. I am the biggest loser I feel as I am obviously not eligible for first child points which most of the schools are giving... no girl child points n the sibling points also not saving me...parents like me are the most unfortunate I feel :( ... all because of this stupid decision of aap govt.

Hi Shelia...Aap govt proposal is on hold...Schools are following there own criteria....Even parents staying next to school in dwarka are sailing in the same boat as parents of Subhash nagar kid....
