yesterday DPS Dwarka result came out , but seeing results it looks the children that do not have points for Siblings , Alumini , Girl child , Neighbourhood , they do not have any chance of admission . This way it looks chance of getting admission for my child in other schools is negligible as do not have above criteria points

Does it mean , good schools are left only for those who have been staying in Delhi for quite a long time ? what for those parents who came Delhi from different states for job and well qualified working in MNCs , Doctor , Engineers , CAs

This indicates , even a Delhi shopkeeper/businessman can admit his child in good school with above criteria where as highly qualified parent can't admit his child for the reason just he came to Delhi recently

This is very demoralising education system , how we can ensure a good future for our child ?

I agree, my situation is even worse, depite being in Delhi & getting neighborhood points, I still do not have any chance as this is our first child (so no sibling) & we are not alumni from a delhi school. It's a cake walk for one's with siblings & alumni. Rest experiment with new schools

Can you please rate APJ Pitampura / Heritage Rohini / Bal Bharti Rohini / G D Goenaka Rohini / VGS Rohini

Hi Pankaj ji,

APJ Pitampura & Bal Bharti Rohini are better known established conventional schools with proven track records---so if you have an option go for any of these two.

Heritage Rohini & GD Goenka Rohini are somewhat newer schools with strong focus on innovative teaching methods and low teacher;student ratio for a holistic development of the kid...but slightly costilier in fees...so you can opt for them if have no other option.

VGS comes in mid way to all these 5 schools mentioned by you.

Thanks Bij for quick reply. As far as cost is concerend VGS Rohini ischarging much more than Heritage . Its appx 9k per month per one time 50k.

So how do you rate Goenka / Heritage / VGS if have an option. Also i have come to know that 2-3 parents have moved from APJ to Heritage. Is it worth doing so.

pankaj ji ...this problem of selection between a conventional school and a experimental school is now there in many parts of Delhi...and its' entirely upto a parent's choice to go for a perticular stream..

heritage, gd goenka and vgs all three are at the same platform in the education methodology they use...and it shall be better to ask personally parents of existing kids which one is better than the other...fee may differ slightly but is higher than the conventional schools like apeejay pp & bbps rohini..

...(p.s. i have seen the quality of education at gd goenka world school at sohna road, gurgaon...so if that standard is being maintained it can be better to the other too...but pls apply your discretion to choose if you have an option)

I have a friend whose kids go to Heritage Rohini, they are pretty satisfied and the kids are also very smart. A lot also depends on the time and effort devoted by parents on the wards, irrespective of the school the kids go to.
