DPS MATHURA ROAD RESULTS NOT TRANSPARENT - MR VOHRA HIGHLIGHT IN DAINIK BHASKAR 20 JAN

Published in 20 Jan-2011 print edition of Dainik Bhaskar| नर्सरी की दाखिला प्रक्रिया को लेकर पब्लिक स्कूलों की मनमानी का सिलसिला लगातार जारी है। जो स्कूल जितना नामचीन है, वह उतनी ही ज्यादती करने में जुटा है। ताजा उदाहरण डीपीएस, मथुरा रोड का है जिसने दाखिले के लिए दास्तावेजों की जांच की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। 20 से 25 जनवरी के बीच अंजाम दी जाने वाली इस प्रक्रिया में सामान्य श्रेणी की 120 सीटों के लिए 292 उम्मीदवारों को बिना चयन का आधार बताए बुलाया गया है। स्कूलों की मनमानी का दूसरा उदाहरण रोहिणी के गीतारतन जिंदल स्कूल ने पेश किया है। यहां गरीब कोटे के तहत आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 20 जनवरी होने के चलते जारी आवेदन प्रक्रिया के अन्तर्गत अभिभावकों को रजिस्ट्रेशन स्लिप देने से साफ इनकार किया जा रहा है। एजुकेशन फोर ऑल के संस्थापक सुमित वोहरा कहते हैं कि डीपीएस मथुरा रोड की ओर से जारी सूची के बाद से ही लगातार वे अभिभावक परेशान हंै जिनका नम्बर दास्तावेजों की जांच के लिए जारी सूची में नहीं आया है। उनका कहना है कि स्कूल की सूची में कहीं भी यह स्पष्ट नहीं किया गया है कि आखिर चुने गए उम्मीदवारों को कितने प्वाइंट मिले हंै। साफ है कि कहीं न कहीं कुछ गड़बड़ जरूर है। सुमित वोहरा कहते हैं कि स्कूल की ओर से अंजाम दी जा रही प्रक्रिया कहीं न कहीं सवाल खड़े करने वाली है और हर अभिभावक को हक है कि वह अपने बच्चे के चुने जाने या न चुने जाने का कारण जाने। स्कूल ने सामान्य श्रेणी के साथ-साथ स्टाफ कोटे की 12 सीटों के लिए नौ उम्मीदवारों की सूची जारी की है। |

Gandhiji taught us the philosphy of disobedience in a civil fashion. Can this be applied here. We need to do something concrete rather than saying "Schools should do this; Schools should do that". How do we expect schools listen to us unless there is a pressure to do so. We must unite and create the pressure. Ok. let us say 100 parents are united. And the next day some 10 of them got thier child name in some schools; so they drop out. Eventually we all know that this monkey show will not last beyond 1st week of Feb. I don't think there is any real shortage of school seats. I am yet to hear from anyone that his child is stting at home as he / she couldn't get admission. It is just that awareness is increased and one child is getting applied in 20 schools. I think everyone should calm down. Why should you bother what is happening at DPS Mathura Road. They are not our elected representatives. We should be more concerned about Govt of India which is supposed to be the Govt for the people. Are the Govt fulfilling our aspirations? There are people with 50 lacs BMW who are getting diesel at subsidised prices and there are middle class people paying thru thier nose for petrol for thier maruti cars.

I absolutely agree with Rikki, lets rise above and see something beyond these so called branded schools....
Find a school which has good Infrastructure and gives importance to values............

what a difference between 2 school of dps society? one is vasant kunj has release all applicants 's list with point which accepted form manually other is DPS mathura road a old school accepted form online but in the time of release of shortlist make blind tech savvy. double stranded "teeth for show and for eating are different".
it is a old saying that i will accept all thought but will do what ever i have pre decided already.

guys, i know some people who did not get admission last year in reputed school and they had to take admission in poor infra schools in the last . this year they are applying for KG admissions.
if govt could do any thing regarding private schools .were kendriya vidyalaya not good enough!!!!
if we are satisfied what we achieve in the last..no body will bother..it will make no difference to any body but still
we have to say our cocern on each and every forum, may be it dont create much pressure but it will definately create a difference for future ...therefore i expect from all parents who are not satisfied please comments here and every where we have chance to express our concern.

i have applied for mathura road and my son was not selected but atleast i want to know wat was the cut out point .....they hav to tell us tht ......atleast names of the candidates with their points hav to b displayed....
