u've heard right...but they won't consider rohini kids......they will consider u if nd only if u r gng through an agent nd gvng them around 3-4 lakh for a seat..

It is really bad.. why the govt. is silent?? BBPS Rohini is around 4 kms from my home so they are not giving me full neighbourhood points so no chance there.. and BBPS Pitampura is just 1 km. away but they are not considering Rohini so where to go??

@Gaurav: This is school specific criteria. The Govt has conveniently washed away its hands from any obligations except for a mandatory 25% quota for EWS. You might want to try out other schools - no point asking why a school will not consider you. Bitter .. but only practical way out. Hope you've tried in Maxfort Pitampura as well which is right next door to BBPS-P

@ gaurav bbps pitam pura is hardly 0.8 km 4m my residence...i've send mails to our so called education minister but no action has been takn....wht else u expect from govt....the govt is useless....they got money 4m schools wch they want..

@ bhavana, confirm you said 50 confirmed out of the draw ( parents with 45 points), what abt parents with less points and more points...

they told draw for 50 seats. Some parents asked that they have 55 marks, she said come later to my room. the school authorities did not use the term 45 marks. asked ~10 parents, had 45 marks each.

i heard that only parents getting 45 points got SMS... how come parents with 55 marks were there...were they called, any idea?

In beginning, madam told any parent who have not received SMS should leave. that there were definitely parents with 50/55 marks. heard 3-4 saying received SMS. not sure/ confirm for rest of them. So, i think all must have got SMS. i dont know what happened in principal's office

Not sure what to make out of all this :( - I have 50 points and did not get any message. Dr Amit Kumar posted the message saying "YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT IN BBPS ROHINI AT 10 AM ON 27TH JAN. 2011 FOR DRAW OF LOTS SINCE THERE IS A TIE. Principal". One more school crossed of my list I suppose!

anandji, keep hope....tie can only be at a single point and not at all points....most of the parents (if not all) who participated in draw had 45 points....so in all probability 45 was the tie point...you should talk to school ....i am in the same boat as you are with 50 points.....have sent my wife to school....let see what's teh outcome....

since the draw was for 50 seats and theer were 101 seats minus staff seats, so i assume, the parents with >45 score is already selected. i still suggest that u contact school authorities/ principal.
