Feeling Dejected

After having filled forms in almost 54 schools, my ward's name is not selected in any lottery. I feel so bad that I can't get my ward admitted to a good school.

Now I have to wait for any school who will make use of my hysteria and give me a seat after accepting donation. Really this is our government's intention?? To sacrifice our wards future on a lottery system.

Don't feel bad Rahul...Send a mail to you top 5 preferred schools...And follow it up...They will take your child in....Most good schools don't take donation..

Charu can u plz forward me also the list. I have also applied for 35 schools but my child name didn’t come in any draw. How do I proceed in this case please let me know.

I can totally understand your pain point as I am also in the same boat. I also live in Dwarka and filled all good schools (around 30) in vicinity. Still no luck in any of the lots. I also understand as the candidates scoring same marks are around 1k and seats for general category is not even 100. How can even luck favor in such a small probability index ?

All i can suggest is to look for alternative way to get your ward into your top or mid priority schools but before that there is still a glimpse of hope for remaining lots. There's still SVIS, VIS and NiBS to go by.

Thanks Samesh and Charu, the real power of common man is "hope".. Though its fading for me but I will still do my best to connect with schools over phone, emails and personally to earn a better future of my son..

Interestingly no one is talking about G D Goenka Dwarka in this forum. No1 is even asking or interested about this school. Any major issues with the school?

Don't get panic. Have faith. There are hopes some schools will provide admission when list are finallized.

Can you elaborate on the mystery surrounding G D Goenka? I have seen threads around every school except G D Goenka... Ny reasons for that?

@rahul sharma. Gdg is a good school but not in top 10 according to me. It just provide luxury to chid more than what a child should get at this age. School is bAsically for big bundle parents. There are more good options than gdg.

You can opt other options if not get anywhere for this year and then try for other next year

True.. I too had sleepless nights.. But got a breather as when i reached home in evg thr was a person waiting to handover a letter. Can u guess what it was.. It was my sons selection letter in Mount Carmel dwarka. I checked thr website. List wasnt thr so thought the same... But dnt be dishearted destiny has good for every child. May be they will so btr in other school. U can try itl and bgs hv heard thwy take 50k only.. Good luck
