What if your child doesn't get selected in desired schools?

Hi All,

As we all parents wish to get the best possible education for our children, not of all us can get our children to top schools. As the D-day is coming nearer, I wish to know opinion of all the parents and moderators on the below points:

1) What if your child doesn't get selected to top schools or schools where you desired? Will you compromise and get your child admitted to some 'mediocre' schools?

2) What if your child doesn't get selected to ANY Schools you have applied? What should be the strategy adopted in this case?

Yes in Soverign they hv given time till 28th and VsPk will do till in March... I guess

VSPK is asking to book seat before 23rd...otherwise they will consider management quota

1 thing i didnt mention is that they are asking to those who are in the waiting list NOT selected candidates

Don't panic, they will give you admission without any extra charge after 31 Mar also seeing last year trend as admissions open round the year, They are aware parents are anxious and confused that's why blackmailing them.

right now i m not going for it becoz i have heard that this school can take admission anytime...it is a money making school

thanks for the advice....i just hope that i get the right school otherwise i will just have to go with DIS junior for nursery and then apply for CRPF in pre primary next year

Hitesh ji, block a seat in one school and wait. I have heard that some schools also call parents in march

what about schools in south delhi? how to approach them for management quota seats?

are there any chances of getting selected in 2nd list?

i went to DIS junior today and they told me that they have two sections for nursery with 20 seats in each section. They wanted me to get the seat booked today itself as the seats might not remain empty after 2pm today.

I just felt one thing that their fees is on the higher side. But one plus point is that they dont take admission fees every year (as per told by them)

Form-100rs. (one time)
Registration charges- 500rs. (yearly)
Admission charges- 11000 (one time till 12th)
fees - 9450rs per month
books - 4100rs
summer dress- 1550 per set
winter dress- 1950 per set

kindly give your advice

Can any one please help me out if the second list is already out for any school or is it going to be 28th Feb only in any of the Punjabi Bagh, Paschim Vihar or Pitampura areas?
