Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Hi moderators and parents,
I am in need of urgent help. I have secured a seat for my daughter in Salwan junior School, Naraina. Although, I am not very happy about it. Also, I got call from Salwan Montessori, rajinder nagar, G D Salwan, Rajinder Nagar and Ramjas day boarding anand parbat. Today, I got call for document verification from DPSInternational as her name is in 1st waiting list. I am aware of their high fees and IB curriculum which is not much problem. But question is whether its worth it? Should I go for it if I am offered for admission? I am so confused and need urgent suggestions as I have to visit school in the morning.

An International school with IGCSE curriculum.

DPS International quality of standard is high with best infrastructure but expensive.

The Early Years (Pre Primary) Level follows the Canadian Maple Bear System, which is well integrated with the U.K. based Cambridge Curriculum.

Primary level is dedicated in providing a challenging learning environment.  The school is a center of inquiry, creativity and joyful learning, where students from     different countries come together to learn, to dream and to grow.

DPSI offers a coherent and integrated curriculum along the lines of the National Curriculum of England.

To meet the demands of the IGCSE and GCE ‘A’ Level curriculum, in grades VI, VII and VIII there is a healthy blend of the best of the international curriculum with the long-established national curriculum.

DPS International offers Cambridge Advanced Level Examination in Grades XI and XII which is a two year course of study.

Cambridge Advanced Levels are one of the most recognized qualifications around the world. They are accepted as proof of academic ability for entry into universities and institutes of higher education.

Success in Advanced Levels will give access to the top universities around the world and in the Indian sub-continent.

At DPS International, we take a ‘staged’ assessment route to the A Level Examination:

- AS Level Examinations at the end of Grade XI

- A Level Examinations at the end of Grade XII

Main 3 factors parents go for International schools are

  1. Holistic learning: International boards provide students a holistic approach to education and development of both disciplinary and interdisciplinary understanding. Students study a range of subjects and support their academics through their core involvement. It strives to develop ‘global’ citizens with positive attitudes.
  2. Study abroad plans: Students and parents believe that a high school education in an international board will not only smoothen the transition but aid in the application to a foreign institute or organisation.
  3. Acceptance within India: A growing number of universities and colleges in India are accepting high school graduates from international boards. Thus, individuals who are not necessarily looking to study abroad but are seeking an application-based learning environment without limiting their options within India can make the change.

Cambridge learners develop higher order thinking skills – such as critical thinking, collaboration and creativity – as well as deep subject knowledge. Through active learning approach, students are encouraged to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. These attributes help students succeed in tomorrow’s world and are valued by universities and employers across the globe.

See each curriculum has its own merits and demerits.
