The school is asking parents to fill an undertaking that they won't be responsible if some tragedy happens in school premises to the child, during any curricular or co-curricular activities. Also it has been mentioned that parents can't take any legal action against the school in that case.

I would like to know, to what extent is it allowed to get such an undertaking filled?

Dear All

As we understand,as your ward are selected in these schools.

Sent us a copy with respective name of schools, complaint by any parent at helpdesk@admissionsnursery.com or inbox me with copy of complaint we will send it to Education Minister, Schools have to withdraw even if anyone was forced to sign.

Hi Sakshi,

Even Father Agnel School, Gautam Nagar made us sign an undertaking.

They had made this Undertaking a part of the Admission Form.

They did not ask us to get it witnessed or Notarized/Attested.

We ultimately had to comply as this was the only school in which our son was selected and by refusing to sign this undertaking, we did not want to take any chance of losing out the seat, which would have costed our son a year.

We know this undertaking can't be upheld in court of law, but as parents, what choices do we have!!!

We don't know how to complain against the school as we have already taken admission.

Maybe AN can take sou moto cognizance on our anonymous post and file a complaint with DOE / Education Minister against the same.

We are, however, trying to get admission in other good schools, if any seats are left.

We need copy of parents complaints to highlight as posted above.

As DOE wants complaints of suffering parents and we can push that in media if no action taken by DOE.

Rest parents can ask friends to do the needful, in case they feel they would be victimized by school.
