Hey Anurag,

I feel Chinmay. But, the better thing to do is to visit both the schools when they disperse and talk to parents/students before you make up your mind.

Cheers,

Abhishek

thanks very much

hi abhishek ji, any idea for Bloom Public School vasant kunj and Chinmay ...which is better and in what...i really apprecite your views...

Hi Neeru,

I would say Chinmay. Its better in terms of over all development of chid.

Cheers,

Abhishek

pls suggest which school is better.....Bluebells or Indian.....in what sense

Hey Puneet,,

Bluebells have lot of focus on academics. At least in the elementary school. One of my friends son used to study in bluebells in 1st standard and he had tough time. Otherwise its a good school. Better infrastructure in comparsion with Indian. Plus, kids from lot of different world regions attend the school, so good overall exposure.

I would go for Bluebells in this case.

Cheers,

Abhishek

dear abhishek

Thx for ur feedback ..wht sort of tough time the kid had in ist std...i have been told that the school doesnt put any presuure on the child for studies.....they r mainly concentrated on extra curricular.....i dnt have much idea abt acads..how is it....what abt 11-12 std students....r they competetive ahead for engg and medical entrance exams

pls reply

Hey Puneet,

Well, tough time as in , it was difficult for him to cope up with the studies (could be attention issue at home as well, I am not too sure, but the kid was struggling for sure).

Well, whatever I know of Bluebells, there is a pressure on academics (may be primarily because the school is under pressure to show result in line with rest of the schools in south delhi and make a mark).

BTW, in any school the real rigor on academics starts from 1st grade onwards. Nursery/KG in any case is more fun and extra curriculuar.

Well, on the benchmarking with respect to other schools on securing a seat in competitive exams after 12th Standard, I don't think the school has been doing that great.

Rest, I suggest you to visit the school when it disperse and talk to parents and students in higher grade to get better idea. I tried this last year and it really worked well for me.

All the best!

Cheers,

Abhishek

abhishek/anyone on the forum

please guide between gyan bharti and kr mangalam?please, it's important

Hey Shreya,

I had put my son in KR Manglam GK-II last year, before I pulled him out, after due considerations. Here is my take:

KR Manglam, GK-II (My thoughts are purely for GK-II branch only, I have heard people had bad experiences with the VP Branch, so consider this before making any conclusions):Well, to my mind its one of the good schools in South Delhi. Overall good focus on development of Child, extra curricular etc. Every Friday they have extra session wherein kids stay back and work on different fun based projects etc.. However, its full of jazz, fairly expensive plus, the crowd is generally higher strata of society. Overall, good school in my experience, as long as you don't mind you kid to expose to what we may call a 'GD Goenka' culture (with all due respect to the school!) and of course, afford it!

Gyan Bharti- Good school again, very focused on academics and overall personality development. NSD stages drama workshops in the school and overall decent middle (upper) middle class crowd.

I would say overall you have tough choice to make, had I been in your position I would have gone in for Gyan Bharti, as I don't want to expose my son to 'Look, I have arrived!' kind of culture.

One more thing you can do visit both of these schools when they disperse and talk to students/parents etc. before you make up your mind!

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Abhishek

Yes, it sure helps Abhishek. Thanks much.
