I am residing in Dwarka Sector 7, looking for nursery admission for my Son and Daughter's movement in the same school in class IV. Keeping my options open, however currently stuck on two options 'Delhi International School' Sector-23 & 'Maxfort School' Sector-7. Maxfort is little expensive and have AC classrooms. Kindly suggest which one would be better in long term perspective and also if there is any better option available which can be considered. Thanks.

Hi Harish, Try in DPS,BGS, Nirmal Bhartia,Vis sec 10 the are far better and among most sought after schools in dwarka.
If you reside in sector 7 and you do not qualify for reservations like Sibling, alumni or management. I think it does not even make sense (distance to school criteria) to apply in DPS, Basava, Bal Bharti and Mount Carmel. The best school near you is VIS sector 10. Maxfort is obviously closest. Maxform should not be a problem because they also admit in MaxKids alongwith the main school. So the chances are higher in Maxfort. Keep DIS as a backup for last option. You also have DAV, Indraprastha, Shriram close by. You should definitely apply in all three.
I agree with Rakesh but as per previous year parents Nirmal Bhartia is the only school that does not charge for management seat.
Hello Mr. Pandey,
How is BGS?
Could you rank the schools mentioned by you in your response to Harish?
Thanks
Hi Neeru,
Please understand that school rankings process in India is very vague. Not even faintly close to university ranking process. It is not advisable to take any decision basis any ranking whatsoever. You may form an opinion/perception based on these rankings which is fine. Common perception about top schools in dwarka (in order) would be : DPS, VIS, Mount Carmel, Bal Bharti, Nirmal Bhartia, BGS, Modern Convent, St. Thomas and so on and so forth..
Pls do not focus more on these rankings. Apply everywhere and decide once you get the offer.
I agree with Rakesh.
We don't endorse surveys.Parents first hand feedback is the genuine review.
Thank you Rakesh Ji for your response.
I stay in Sector 6 dwarka and we are applying to as many schools as we can think of.
Need one more help - parents kindly advise which all schools require the hard copy of the form to be submitted IN ADDITION to the online form submitted?
I understand Bal Bharti and NP bagrodia require hard copy to be submitted as well? I have filled in their online forms.
Please guide. Thank you
Hello Harish - You've a difficult job at hand, getting your daughter moved to school where your son gets lucky in Nursery lottery system so it is advisable that to maximize your options apply for Nursery admission in as many as schools you can as the seat for for class IV will be vacancy based and not every school will have it. Apply in schools even if out of your distance criteria (just check for school transport if they provide) eg I applied in Indian Heights very far from my place but got called from them for admission at the time of my Daughter's admission few years back. All the best!
