I don't know about the guidelines but this process is applicable to all schools. you can also apply for more copies from MCD.

exactly get more copies ..its rs 20 each.

i have 5 copies :-)

If someone has submitted the original birth certificate with the school and does not get admitted. Then submit an application in the school for returning the original birth certificate. The Certificate will be returned immediately.This will avoid the stress of making repeated rounds to a MCD office.
